I mean the IP of Nukeproof really isn't a lot. Not having a go at them, but a few horst link bikes and a couple linkage driven single pivots. Not like they had anything revolutionary, they're bikes are very middle of the road, not in a bad way.

One really interesting thing I've learned from this thread and zfc, is that it's worth buying the expensive chains, xtr or x01 as they last so much longer when taken care of properly. So that's super interesting

I disagree. Just because it's old doesn't make it invalid. And having a data point of a shorter travel may highlight some positives or negatives of long stroking bikes. Some old shocks are definitely better than they're newer models, and potentially the original tune that specialized specd could be very good.

From Apricitas Economics post this morning; The costs of these actions are enormous, covering $1.3T in US imports or roughly 42% of all goods brought into the United States. If households and companies tried simply to import the same goods from the same countries as last year, they would now be forced to pay an 11.5% effective tariff or more...

Well, the trade war has officially begun. Good luck to any companies that have significant cross border trade, particularly the small ones based in Squamish and Vancouver area.
I've got mullets and 29ers, and the axle heights is the real difference maker. It gives a feel or riding behind the front wheel instead of on-top of it. It lowers the endo angle (the angle at which the bike tips over forward) giving more confidence to push into the front and brake really hard. My 29er definitely rolls nicer...
Mullets are popular for a few reasons, clearance being a big one, but due to the difference in axle heights front to rear you get very good turn in and its often easier to corner because of it. In most tests the pros found mullets to be faster because of this which is why even tall pros opt for mullet...

Can we stop with the pipe dreaming, people would be more likely to glue their head to the table than properly use industrial adhesives in a frame jig. Most people struggle with IKEA,

But using lube is already wrong. If your going to spend money on that may as well just go straight to immersive wax. 2nd best is liquid wax application (i.e squirt)

From great riders I ride with, 2 loved radials and 1 found it ok, but definitely not to his riding style. I would agree though, that overall there is so much choice for quality tyres now. Maxxis, obviously Conti, new contis are fantastic Michelin, so grippy, almost too much Schwalbe, fantastic but unique Specialized, the butcher is actually a very...

A really bad pic - But a bike reviewer posted some pics of his current test mule, and he had blurred out a seatpost and a drivetrain. The seatpost was clearly the new Rockshox dropper, so I thought that the drivetrain might be something from srammers as well. He had posted a very dark pic of the same bike just a few hours earlier. Which with a little bit of editing - Looks like this Clearly a transmission-esque rear deraillieur, with a transmission casette. Front chainring looks different from any of the wireless models, and since there are two hoses/cables...

I love the fact the bike is so modern , new brakes in development, new belt drive frame, same 10+ year old 471's haha. Definitely look like new Hopes, and as @Carraig042 mentioned it lines up with the new master cylinder we've seen.

The rear triangle is actually 2 triangles then connected with a bridge its not 1. But you argument is bizarre, what happens when you bend/crack any VPP style rear triangle? Its not unique to Atherton. Also talking to some of the Dyfi guys, good luck breaking these bikes. The one thing I will say is their as indestructible as they...

The final touches on the Atherton bikes are not great. The cable porting is average at best these days, and the chain slap protection is just a thin piece of mastic tape that barely covers the chain stay area. They're always going to be noisy until you invest some money and time to mitigate it.

I think there is an important similarity between bike reviews and top gear though. People who are purchasing a car aren't buying it because it's the fastest car, so the stig test is more fun and anecdotal of potentially how quick it can go. If anyone actually wants a car to race, the stig test isn't really relevant as first...
