Hey Guys, another update. Austin was one of the first people I called after getting hurt. We're buddies and talk/ride together fairly regularly. I let him know what was up and wanted to confirm that he was staying in Europe for the next month like I thought he was. He's racing Maribor this weekend and isn't planning on coming back home until after the WC in Switzerland next month either way. That was good news as he's easily ready to go if I pull out. I also contacted USAC to make sure they get him everything he needs to compete...

They were reformed a few years ago to become the corporate conglomerate of outdoor publications. They’ve been buying anything up with value. They bought pink bike for Trailforks as much or more so than the editorial side. Seems a major focus is in apps whether they be health, navigation, or sport training related. I’m glad for hradek. I’m sure the payout was pretty damn spectacular. He undoubtedly started something really cool and deserves a bonus now he’s ready. But pinkbike has been trying too hard for years and this is just going to make things worse. Mtb doesn’t need reality...

I am sure a huge portion of their content will remain free (ya know, all the user generated content and paidvertorial bike launches/reviews), but the stuff that their staff creates will probably be pay. Comment sections in Vital are about to start blowing up!

I agree "This bike sucks" is a common note to many current super bikes because someone doesn't know how to tune their shock. Most people can barely be trusted with adjustable air/preload and low speed rebound adjustments.

Riders should have to pass a test on the effects of low and high speed damping before being allowed to buy a modern shock. It's crazy to me that even at some bike shops this remains a mystery. There are SO many people out there on crazy expensive bikes with complete garbage tunes.

I think most people judge bikes before they even sort out their spring rates. "This bike pedals like crap." 40% sag. "This bike is really soft and dead feeling." No volume spacers. "This bike is really bad on steep trails." Fork too soft. "It's so harsh on rough trails." Also fork too soft.

Pre-production frame. We have a much cleaner manner for this moving forward to keep it clean looking and keep the grit out. Good catch though!

A snapped frame based upon that crash is not a surprise in the least. Between the g-out, highside, and his legs slingshotting that into the tree, what could be expected of it? Glad Greg is OK. Because that video is perfection EDITING whereas slopestyle is real time life unfolding. All of the tricks are crazy good, but the during is so seamless that we enjoy it as a flawless run. They spliced together however many takes it took to get it right and made it look fluid. Would.love to see a follow cam just to see if he could actually pluck all of those tricks out in a single run. That would be unreal.
