Definitely a good point. I am definitely a Shimano guy. I gave the Guides a chance last year and really like them. They were durable and consistent all year long. I really like the lever on them. Definitely different but the combo works quite well. The wheels are rad! I ran the same model just different wheel size last year on my Balance. They are still going strong!

Lizard Skins makes a 'frame leather' that works really well for protecting from the tailgate pad. The frame is raw with no clear, so I wanna keep it fresh. I also put 3M on a variety of spots to prevent rub or shuttle damage.

Awesome! Congrats, a bitchin bike for sure. It was tight for sure. I put this guide on first, then the cranks. Everything seemed to tighten up just fine.
