Yeah, Roberts composites in North Vancouver is legit good at what they do. Had a stumpjumper Evo with the notorious downtube crack, which was not covered by specialized. I also paid a bit extra for expedited repairs. They colour matched my matte black bike pretty well and they offer warranty on their work. The bike didn’t break in that spot again just other spots…

ya, strange one if true. PFR should have been rebranded BK Lifestyle Racing a long time ago, as it seems the primary reason Bernard runs that team is to fund his own preferred lifestyle. A guy who's so close to consistent top 10s like Maples needs better I feel.

The problem with 12 speed shimano deraillers is that they seem to desintegrate if there's a single blade of grass a feet away.. Is GX Eagle done and dusted now with T-type Eagle 90 being out? and IIRC Eagle 90 trigger is kinda horrible and more of a NX rather than a nicer group?

These are for NZ market. Probably trek #1 - usually warranty is just approved - or upgraded to a new model without all the fluff. Hard to fault anything Advance traders bring in, Merida, Marin and Norco - they are really helpful. Hard to fault santa cruz, those frames are Such good quality. Scott here is pretty good especially with...

Speaking of the park 3-way tools - I didn't have strong feelings either way and sometimes kept one in my apron but this just reminded me mine went missing about 5 years ago and apparently I haven't missed it!

Any decent T handle (partial to PB Swiss) or my Zyklop 1/4. 3 ways have never been nor will ever be in my toolbox...they are the tool equivalent to saying "dampener".

Well the bad news is that I don't know what to tell you, and the good news is that I have nothing to prove, nor nothing to gain for convincing you. I have a lot of mountain bikes and so does my wife, 6 between us. Everyone of our bikes has sram brakes with metallic pads, 200mm hs2 rotors and the same sram drivetrains and sram dt350 hubs on every wheelset save one. There are two extra floater wheelsets between all of the bikes. I think it may actually be more important for me to be on the right tires...

Not exactly an innovation per se; but Raaw has started offering the option to rent a toolbox full of all their adjustments included. You get it for two weeks so you can decide if any of those adjustments make sense before you buy. And, get a discount when you do decide to buy something afterwards. Pretty cool idea. https://raawmtb.com/en-us/collections/parts/products/raaw-factory-suppo…
