I think the only thing that can be taken from timed training is what kind of times will be required to be near the top later in the weekend...and it's a loose estimate at that.

it sucks when weather decides the race. i find it hard to believe given the huge cost to the teams and sponsors of putting on this event it's better to run the main or allow it to finish in insane weather. run it earlier if weather is looking crazy or push it back a few hours. it's not like the stream is live anyway. with seven races there aren't any to waste. i love watching dh. i think racing is rad. i even own a carbon dh bike. i seriously hate this outcome and how everyone is like 'well it's...

Don't misunderstand why Loic doesn't like the 29'er. Yes faster is faster, but he is coming from the standpoint of "why go faster"? If it is an advantage now, but then everyone adopts the wheel size, it just means that everyone would then just be going even faster - which is hard to fathom. To see the speed in person, and see the unfortunate moments when things go wrong at that speed...Loic's view point is reasonable. And he's not the only one. The hype of the big wheel is hype, and there will be some more to come other than...

My apologies, I must reply to misinformation when it is put out there. Myself and everyone in my world --self employed contractors, plumbers, electricians, used car dealership owners, farm equipment repair business owners, bike shop employees, physical therapists, nearly all self-employed, all have better, more affordable healthcare coverage than my wife who works at a Magnate hospital. She would get better coverage for less if she could opt out of her employer's healthcare. Before Obamacare her policies were getting increasingly worse year after year. @Oz_Taylor not true! The Padloc can go on any bar. The part from Park Tools is only $15 and my shop bought it and had it in shop 2 days after I requested it. It slides right into the existing Park Tool bar cutting jig. Takes 5 minutes to cut the bar down max. Even the first time you do it, no prior experience. There's a video on the WTB site that shows how. 4/4/2016 3:01pm I pretty much always prefer a full-face... my backpack has a helmet carrier, so I just strap it on there for long climbs as I am not worried about crashing on my head while climbing. DH casings + Full Face is the only way to "enduro"
