Got to see the new Schwalbe Assegai/Kryptotal type tyre at Eurobike today on a random bike that it probably should not have been on. Knobs look bigger generally to me, though I could not check side by side with the Maxxis/Conti equivalent. Looks like it should be a good addition to the Schwalbe range.

At this point I think Loic's mechanic is just finding new ways to troll us bike nerds.

The old Mara Pro had superior damping to most off the shelf shocks and are serviceable at home. The new air can fixes it's only real drawback of the fixed negative spring.

Sx trail and process 167 were definitely 2 of the coolest bikes ever made.

The Mara Pro has some incredible qualities; however it needs an independently adjustable negative chamber.

I was born in Poland, but I grew up in California....spent 40 years there. Now I'm back in Poland...as luck would have it....in Bielsko-Biała. For the past 3 years I've been riding most of the trails that'll be used at the event. Prior to that, my resume includes mostly Skegg's Point and Braille in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a run down Mt. Lemmon outside of Tuscon, and some Tapia Canyon (Castaic, California). I'm old and mostly ride motorcycles with MTB stuff peppered in here and there. Nevertheless, I think I have some unique credibility here. So if you will endulge...

Some of us might remember the Willingen WC, Men's winners at that course were Sub 2 minutes if I remember correctly. The course was so tame (by DH standards) that a few people raced on shorter travel frames with single crown forks. Kovarik even joked that he probably could have managed on a Hardtail.

PB had all the juicy photos of Bruni's bike . They were testing rotor covers. You can al so see the bike with the cover off. There is also a brace on the derailleur hanger, I am too out of the loop on transmission stuff to know if it a stock piece. Looks like it is an electric motor that actuates the damping dials. There might also be something above the spring collar (preload adjuster?) but it's hard to see.

Why is there no option about notifying the race commissioner in your poll? Assuming it's a small regional race? Contact the race officials with you info, let them confront the racer.
