Making parts for Lotus ≠ good design. It's gaudy as fuck. The anodisation for anodisation's sake, seemingly nonsense graphics and big flat faces aren't in the least bit appealing to me.

$599 US. A little more than half the Direttissima, comes with 4 rotors, two pairs of pads, bleed kit, rotor bag. Not terrible for high end brakes, but it would take some very impressive performance to make me switch from my DH-R EVOs.

Spotted out on my local trails this past weekend (Feb 17th-18th) looks to be of the new Norco Sight (sorry for the blurry spy shot). Looked to have been being ridden by a shop employee so I’ll see if I can poke some more information as there’s a few Norco shops here on van island. Shares the same design as the purple design above (no changes it looks like from that). Should be dropping really soon as they have the ride aligned sizing / information label printed on the top tube.

Just a heads up about tire sizing, because you seem to be dead set on getting a 2.4" tire. Not all 2.4" tires are the same size, and the best way to get a sense of the actual size of a tire is the ETRTO listing on the sidewall of the tire. For instance, the old 26" Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5" had an ETRTO listing of 58mm, but the new 29" Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5" has a ETRTO listing of 63mm. They're both ostensibly a 2.5" tire, but in reality one is 10% wider. Why? The 2.5" moniker is there...

Conti Xynotal? Been running it rear last summer. Compared to Kryptotal it rolls faster, but a little less grip in loose terrain, but on hardpack etc the Xynotal is better.

The geometry is spot on. I also like the fully sealed bearings, the adjustability, the external cable routing and the fact that with 4.8 kg of weight, the frame is going to be near indestructible. Everything else, I'm not so keen on... Looks, weight, price, trunnion shock, insane amounts of progression, lack of UDH, etc.
