Team rumours - not truck and ute rumours

Australia is probably Ute/pickup market number 2. And I haven’t seen one ever. The Navarra is already not the best out there, imagine paying more for it because it has a star on the bonnet.... For full disclosure. Have a LR Defender Ute and a Unimog. So a very British and a very German car on the driveway. A Jeep (FREEDOM!) in the middle. Call me weird hahaha

The x class was a Nissan Titan all done up. Part of the deal was that they could not sell it in North America, which as anyone who lives here, is the Pick up Capital of the world. I am not an economist, but whoever made that deal was not smart.

But he is running an orange 36 in his riding photo... EDIT: not saying that tagging FOX clothing has anything to do with him running FOX suspension. Plus riding Ohlins would be quite a big giveaway, there is that...

While he does have a Fox 36 on the blurred out bike, I think he's pointing to the Fox Racing clothing as both accounts tagged point to the clothing accounts. I'd expect him to take @ridefoxbike if he was talking about suspension. It's not to say he won't be riding Fox suspension, but in this case everything is pointing to the clothing side of the house.

A couple of thoughts on the Santa Cruz/ Nina situation.. At this level, adding another rider doesn't just happen.. All the team sponsors also have to willing to step up with additional support... Maybe since 3 riders is the comfort zone for Santa Cruz. and Greg is going to consider retirement at some point, the plan is to keep Nina on some sort support ride until a spot opens up... Now, if someone offers her a ride before they have a spot for her, do they let her go or do they get things in place for a 4th rider?

Cody Kelly definitely on Specialized. Saw him riding in the local with their Factory Team on an Enduro.

Ask Rennie about the idea of being replaced by the Syndicate. You could argue that it destroyed his career as he never finished his first season on Morewood and never raced again at a WC.

So is Jack Moir going to be riding enduro this season?

I remember Kathy said she would hire Nina in one of the videos at the end of the season but that she is not the (only) decision maker. Can't remember if it was a Syndicate video, or a Cathro or what else, but I remember she was pretty enthusiastic about Nina. Too bad, because I am pretty disappointed that girls like Nina are not picked up by a factory team. Nina seems to be a good fit and pretty marketable in my book. Not bashing on SC specifically, I can think of a few other powerhouses which could/should step up...

Vali Holl would be awesome on the Syndicate.

Canyon didn't have much luck with their announcements. British Cycling leaked the Seagrave/FMD signing and now the UCI leaking the Moir signing. Perhaps they'll be a bit sharper with their announcements in future years
