Kudos to the people who made the "Jack to EWS" call early on. I though that was a bunch of BS

Although I don't agree with ALL of that, I can say I was really looking forward to watching Jack race on another bike/team this year. I get that the spot Canyon was looking to fill was for the EWS, but it's such an unfortunate situation for a quality DH competitor to be in.

And Cody has a picture or more in each race report because he is so stilysh. That also counts. I think Specialized did well. Also, them having a reputation of beeing rather uptight and uncool, it is good if they have some cool talent on the rooster.

The man is a wizard on a bike. Companies could care less if an athlete actually wins a race as long as they have good results, and can make rad films featuring their bikes. Even just having a stylish pro on the team drastically increases bike sales because people want to ride a bike that allows them to ride like _____(insert pro’s name here). Now let’s stop criticizing Cody for “not winning an EWS Race” He helped win trophy of nations, the fact is, keeping up with Richie is nearly impossible. He has also won a ton of national level...

There is Jack's interview on The Other Site that keeps cranking ”articles” out of this thread. My take between the lines: - Gwin can screw a team's vibe up pretty bad 🤢 - Intense had the most fun team out there and they decided to kill it because of above primadonna; oh, and money 💩 - Cannondale's cock is much smaller than it used to be 🤫 - Jack is REALLY diplomatic about his ”choice” 🥺 - when you don't have much to choose from, you accept a change of discipline too 😔 - enduro is actually killing top-level downhill...

I think Dickscruttock approach is perhaps a little harsh but, he does has a point. Cody ain’t gonna win any races, nor does he really sell bikes like some other ‘free racers’ he’s an industry personality agreed, but outside that he hasn’t much reach. As has been said they obviously want to focus on DH with Loic and Finn. Fair play to Cody but I don’t see it lasting long. I’m also very surprised Spesh don’t put more into The Enduro race team, unless DH bikes are still selling more? It’s all about the money, money, money..

Cody’s a bloody champ, a real genuine fella as I’m sure any of the other so called ‘second rate’ enduro riders are. You, on the other hand, come across as a total douche. No-one’s asking you to care about anyone who isn’t whatever you deem to be first rate but there’s no need to put them down.

Wow, I didn't know all that drama. I haven't been keeping up with the Team Rumors as I did in past years. Maybe Moir will end up being like Eddie Masters and become a top 10 threat in both disciplines.

By several accounts, Jack had signed on with a DH team but that team then pulled out. If that is true, that would say to me he still wanted to be all-in with DH. He needs to have a paycheck and expenses covered for racing, so by the time that happened, his DH options were likely limited. If he is disillusioned with anything, perhaps it is related to companies fulfilling their commitments.
