I wonder how this compares to the Yeti SB150. Unfortunately, new bikes always only get compared with other new bikes when it would be more useful to make reference to bikes we already know. The SB150 will go into its 4th year next year.

Cool video, thank you. Yes, the Geometron G1 (in the shortest size) is very similar to the Pivot and gives you exactly what Brian pointed out as good: the long chain stays and 62 degree HA. Plus a steep seat tube. Never had a bike that climbs so well (just as Brian describes). Climbes better than the Yeti SB150 and SB130LR.

The shops have prices and parts lists. You can chose between expensive and very expensive (SLX or XT). Shimano EP8. What is disappointing is that the expensive version only gives you fox performance (not performance elite) fork 38 and E1900 wheels. If you are shelling out 10k, you want (a litttle) more than that with CODE R brakes. However, upgrading...

Great Podcast, thanks for sharing Charlie. He proves his point riding for Felt. I wonder if companies don't make growing chain stays solely for monetary reasons but nobody wants to admit it. I am such a bad rider that I enjoy my long chain stay on the Geometron G1 for all the reasons but I can also ride and enjoy my Yetis with their short chain stays that stay short even on L and XL :-( PS: the seat angles on SC are too flat, let's face it. :-)

No. I am 186 with same arm span and went XL. I would be disappointed if I was on a L. The XL is especially good in the bike park and at full speed. And in extra steeps. Granted, for mellow trails its a bit much because its like a F-1 car in a 30km/h zone. It is easy to go around corners, too. You will be fine on L. I would recommend XL for you.

Be careful if you use your Pedro's metal tire lever to damage the rim tape when operating :-( Out on the trail I will NEVER be able to wrestle my DHR2 tire of my Santa Cruz Reverse wheels to put in a tube.

And Cody has a picture or more in each race report because he is so stilysh. That also counts. I think Specialized did well. Also, them having a reputation of beeing rather uptight and uncool, it is good if they have some cool talent on the rooster.
