They pretty much said that on the Making Up the Numbers pod.

Would be a big surprise to see Lake Placid/Whitefish on the schedule. DH Mike...you lurking? He was pretty adament that he pushed every day all day for a World Cup there but that the wealthy elite of the mountain were super dismissive. I remember that 8 minute race weekend, he held a DH race followed by a chainless DH. Gerrit Beytagh won both...only 4 seconds slower chainless. The pics & video of that mountain were amazing looking. Could fire road down to get a start hut of 3 minutes. But pretty sure that's just not happening because rich people. And...

Interesting... I've heard that Asia is in the UCI's sights, but not where most people would think, and not till 2025. Wonder if that timeline's been accelerated. Snowshoe has the XC Marathon World Champs apparently. Sadly, the talk around the pits was that Snowshoe wasn't gonna be on the calendar for 2024. That's a real bummer cause we really need some "Shake'n Bake" on the circuit!

O SHEEEEEEN

That’s such bullshit. Less opportunity for Jackson, Finn and Kolb to catch up. Why do they have to mess with the points allocation for the finals? F1 did this a few years back and quickly scrapped the idea. it changes the ‘standing’ of the event. Every World Cup race should be equal in value in a series.

In previous years they added the qualifying points to the final points so the overall number of points up for grabs remained the same. There is no mention of that in the current rules, only a statement of no points scored in qualifying and semi-finals. Unclear if they intend to add the points to the finals points (which they should do, the last race of the season should "weigh" at least as much in the overall standings...).

250 as opposed to 400 if you won quali, semi, final

sorry overalls weren't available when i first made the post. vali won, she's the overall champ. here's the link to the PDF - https://chronorace.blob.core.windows.net/webresources/20230927_mtb/snow… Loic 1518 Loris 1458 Jackson 1366 Finn 1320 Kolb 1262 Only points for finals in MSA, so it'll be a heater for sure!

What did that chaos do to the overall standing

Stoked for Oisin. Slightly disappointed for Dak. He's knocking on the door.

T-bog. Eddie's video has a shot of it from the rider's other side. Pretty sick. What GT rider was that? Edit: it's Dani Castellanos

Did that GT (I think?) rider throw a little cross-up off the rock plop!? https://youtu.be/whsWq4DVWC8?t=299

The #VitalMTBShortsBounty is on for snowshoe! https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/vital-mtbs-shorts-bounty-2023-snowsho…

well that's a bummer on the track, but a bonus in the booth.

On the list but pretty sure he’s not racing and possibly commenting

gwin on the list too!

If Gasgas don't rebrand to Wattwatt, they will have missed the marketing coup of the year. Upcoming trailhead conversations: -Hey, what bike is that? -Wattwatt! -Hum, I said what bike brand are you riding? -WattWATT!! -What is your problem man?

I’m just here for the GaGas speculation.

zink rides michelins and it looks like 29/27.5 mullet. seems like rampagers would want dual 27.5 or 27/26 mullets, eh? interesting though. what re-painted frame is it? anyone know? edit: oh, clicked link - it's alex marin's bike.
