I'm at Leogang this weekend and wanted to get a sense of how widely pedal kickback devices have been adopted by World Cuppers, along with all the other wild accessories like TMD's/shakeweights, electronics, gearboxes, and more. +2 for me, big big agree. But I’m still waiting for those sweet, sweet slideshows to make a return. Or maybe I just need a Spotify link to that low-tempo, bass-forward track that accompanied the slideshows, so I can cue it up and scroll… Spomer can you make that happen and bring back the old timey feels?

Let me clarify all that here. First up, this is designed for frames with internal headset bearings (where the bearing seats are actually part of the frame, i.e. there are no headset cups). You can't run regular anglesets on such frames, which is why this part was concocted in the first place. What this thing actually does is it moves the bearings outside of the frame, which in fact adds to the stack height on both sides of the headtube. You don't need new headset bearings as you simply drop the ones that were previously sitting in the frame into...

I think I'd run a cascade link and a shorter shock before that. Seems like the headset is just asking for it adding a bunch of weird leverage where it doesn't belong. Why not run a angleset or geoshift headset? Doesn't this IS lower your bar height as well? If you have a new uncut steer tube you could adjust for it I guess. The price would be ok if you didn't have to buy bearings to go with it

Why not just rebrand this thing? A small percentage of people will get this spec'd from the factory and love it. 40% of the aftermarket buyers know about, or have owed one of there previous disasters and will never buy one again. Paint it red and call it the Mission AXS and eventually the rest of the aftermarket might forget why there friends and LBS said not to buy one.

This whole press release reads like AI translated a chinese marketing presentation given at a corporate/trade show level, and then proof read once in Canada. If you read it closely all the info is there, but is so difficult to digest.

Is there really enough DJ market out there to justify them casing a new 26" lowers for 36mm? I would assume Fox and RS have the OEM for this on lock down and Ohlins would maybe get 1% of a very small pie. They need something that competes in the 140mm travel bracket with a TTX18 damper.

Looks like Mr. Varanyak disagrees. Changed literally every part on the bike. I can agree more Marzocchi, but the whole shimano product line seems way less user and mechanic friendly to this bike shop employee / mechanic. This is a bike that will sit on a showroom floor 3 ½ years, and get sold for 11% over cost. The Greer seems like a ok deal for someone's 2nd or 3rd bike for bike park or shuttle days. The Daley is a big question mark. You know that the bottom 2 build levels are probably 35 or 36 lbs. Not exactly...

I'd argue that the majority of customers don't pay much attention to the chainstay length or most of the geo chart. They go into a shop and see a shiny bike. They sit on it and if the fit feels fine they buy. Only bike nerds are scrutinizing these things.
