Press Release

Intend Launches Blackline Forks, Crank and Stem 6

Announced earlier, now available.

In April, the new Blackline series of upside-down forks - HERO, EDGE, and FLASH - was announced. These, along with a few other new Blackline products, are available now. Availability in the webshop will begin immediately with this announcement.

What is Blackline?

Intend splits its product range into two halves: on one side are the "Originals" products, such as the classic USD forks and the Trinity brake, primarily recognizable by their natural/hardanodized components and traditionally dedicated to direct sales. Blackline products, on the other hand, were developed to offer an attractive solution for retailers, incorporating customer feedback into the design while maintaining a top-tier premium level. (For example, Blackline forks: black lowers offer no technical advantage, and stanchion guards are unfavorable performance-wise regarding unsprung mass. Moreover, scratched stanchions are rare in daily use, and replacement is very affordable thanks to the USD principle and fair pricing from our side).

FINALLY!

The HERO, EDGE, and FLASH forks will be available  as Blackline versions starting from today. They'll be available at our webshop or you may request them at the dealer of your choice. All three Blackline forks will feature the newly introduced Travelizer Air spring and the updated OPTimized damping system, as announced previously. The guards are attached on the one-piece forged (with dropouts) black lower legs.

ROCKSTEADY V2

Rocksteady enters the second round

Edelstahl Crankboots: The crank protectors, often known from the carbon crank segment and mostly made of plastic, hardly match the aesthetics of a CNC-machined high-end crank. Therefore, stainless steel was chosen for this milled part. Besides adding a stylish look, it protects the crank arm ends, which often show increased wear or are exposed to impacts from rocks and other debris.

X-Sync 3 Chainring Standard: V2 uses the X-Sync 3 chainring standard for quite simple reasons: it works well, is easy to install, and chainrings are available in countless versions.

165mm Length: The overall trend in the enduro sector is clearly moving toward shorter cranks. Our surveys have shown that 165mm is the length most preferred by the majority.

Dimensions: The axle diameter remains 30mm. The crank will still be available in the two standard lengths:

  • BSA 73, K-Factor: 95-97mm
  • BSA 83, K-Factor: 105-107mm

Design: An updated design not only sets the Rocksteady V2 apart from its predecessor but also from all other cranks. As with the previous model, the crank arms are machined from a solid block.

Pricing and Availability

The Rocksteady V2 is priced at an MSRP of €279.00 (incl. 19% VAT). The stainless steel crank boots are sold separately for €39.00 (incl. 19% VAT). Both the crankset and seperately available crank boots are available immediately.

GRACE DD

Built for the Bold

dd4

Downduro: The "DD" designation stands for this, meaning the stem is also approved according to the EFBE E-Gravity standard.

Integrated Top-Cap: The stem also serves to preload the headset, eliminating the need for a traditional top cap.

2-Bolt Design: The GRACE DD stays true to the Grace lineup, featuring a clamp design with 2 bolts. This not only looks elegant but also saves weight.

Scope of Delivery: In addition to the clamp bolts, the package includes the aluminum screw for the top and the repurposed wooden spatula for easier assembly.

Specs: Due to its construction, the GRACE DD is only available for handlebars with a 31.8mm diameter. Length: 25mm, Stack: 38mm.

Pricing and Availability

The Grace DD has an MSRP of €149.00 (incl. 19% VAT) and is available immediately.
