It'll only get worse from here if they don't acknowledge it publicly. We might be seeing them in the next edition of Jeff Brines' "will brands go bust" thread if they dont rub their braincells together.

@BicyclePubes strike again and offered to buy out YT after they failed to buy out Kona ? That is no joke offer.

No one needs any of these bikes, but if they make riding more interesting or fun I'm all for it. The Checkout isn't for me (at least right now) but for folks who are doing really long bikepacking trips/races it's probably awesome. It's noteworthy to me that a lot of the objections being posted mirror those from when suspension was first introduced to MTBs...

I'm definitely going to make getting therer a priority! The vibe should be epic with all that Durango Devo and Chads crew do. Homecoming 2030 baby!

Rad! Just for curiosity's sake... Will Masters Worlds be at Durango that year?... Being 45 by then, that could be cool, betting a lot of Americans would be pursuing that

This to me is more exciting than Whistler WC.. Even with living in Seattle. Durango 30 years later, Asa, Blevins. Gonna be nuts.

I really hope Dak stays, he is such a likable guy. He is the first person I look for in the results. I do worry about it though because as much as I like him, if I was looking at it from a management perspective he would be the one to go if one needed to. This should have been his year imo and the moto thing killed it. I have to imagine that the management wasn’t stoked about a serious injury coming from a hobby.

Agreed with Ebruner. I think that rider weight matters even more when you are talking about ebikes especially for females. When you are 130lbs anything the high side of 45 "rides wrong..." or so I'm told. As a percentage change relative to body mass it all matters much more.

Showing the DOUBLE FREEDOM ROCKETS to the competition all the way down the track for worlds! He needs little American flags or bald eagles on the middle finger tips next year.

48-49ish pounds for a full power ebike with dh/dd tires is my sweet spot. If it's an SL ebike, then 43-45 would be the target. The problem for me is that I need to run the same tires (within 100 grams at least) on an SL ebike that I need to run on a full power ebike. That means that the lightest I can reasonably get an XL, SL ebike down to is really like 44-45lbs. My 2025 SC bullit is 49lbs ready to ride with DH tires. That's the sweet spot for me. I previously had an orbea rise...

There is a growing scene here. While things were regressing about 12-15 years ago, the last 7+ have seen major growth. We went from zero bike parks to five (two government-funded), loads of trail centers, a few "official," but most not so official, and government-funded pump tracks. The number of riders has been increasing, yet the mountain bike race scene has been dying. But that's more of an issue with event organizers seeing gran fondos as exponentially more profitable. Riders would love to have a proper race series again, rather than just a few events a year, and this is...
