12/21/2025 8:39am Completely O/T but a big shout-out to @Sacki - your posts changed my dropper experience from a random gamble to a reliable, dependable, don't-have-to-think-about-it-anymore boring matter. Boring is good.

12/21/2025 8:39am If you want to know the defnition of what a forecast is, I cna try to explain in my own words (that is how we work with forecasts and does not need to apply for others): For starters, we are an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for many brands. That means that companies buy our products to put them on their complete bikes. Usually, before the beginning of a new year or model year, our customers will provide us with an estimate of their complete demand for a certain period of time. This estimate is called a forecast. This forecast can...

11/24/2025 11:56am I felt this was worth posting here. Yes, AI made it and yes its pretty spot on. It was built primarily off all financials from 2016-present.

10/23/2025 2:57pm I thought it was very brave of Ebruner to be vulnerable and share how many bikes he and his wife have. It can be tough to come clean. We’re all active or recovering bikes addicts here, and this is supposed to be a supportive community for recovery. Or enabling rationalizations and fostering codependency, if that’s what you’re looking for. Both, really. JUDGEMENT FREE SPACE

10/22/2025 1:32pm I don't even like playing the "Who has a 148 rear wheel I can borrow [with my preferred freehub interface and/or a cassette of similar size and # of speeds that's compatible with my chain]?" game. I don't think I would like the 157mm SuperBoost version of that game.

10/22/2025 1:31pm Just doing my part of adding to the rumors 🍿 Dak won’t tell me anything for the record. But I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about that brand that also makes goggles as a potential team. They’ve got two spots that I know of open going into next year I’d love to see him on Frameworks, just feels right. We swapped bikes in Whistler this summer for half a lap when I was riding the Frameworks, and there were a lot of similarities geo wise between the bikes–tall stack, long rear end, short axle to crown. Also minimal spring rate...

10/21/2025 7:44pm I took my kids down the river to watch their hero win the overall in MSA. When I told them this awful news, my ten year old asked me if I could send the Goldstone’s some love on the Vital forums. Please do so on our behalf; we’re thinking of your fam here in Montréal. ❤️

10/21/2025 4:07pm I'm locking this thread for a day or two. Not trying to be rude, I'd actually love to jump in myself, but we've gone way off the rails. None of this ties back to the bike or outdoor industry directly. If you want to continue the AI discussion, please start a new thread, take it to X/Twitter, or head over to LinkedIn. Those platforms are built for this kind of speculation (and overflowing with this sort of banter). I want to keep this space focused on industry-specific topics. Nothing personal,I genuinely enjoy these conversations, this is just a "thread hygiene"...

10/20/2025 2:52pm I don't know if this was mentioned before, but Guardian bikes, that kids bike manufacturer that makes those really weird brakes that do the front and rear with one lever and cable, are pushing for bikes to have a 50% tarrif in the US. https://www.bicycleretailer.com/industry-news/2025/10/08/peopleforbikes… We should do what we can to get them to knock off the BS, I've sent an email about it personally. This would seriously wreck the bike market in the US, even for them.

10/20/2025 12:20pm First and above all else, my thoughts are with Adolf and his family. That was the most grotesque crash I have ever seen. Background: I competed on the Freeskiing World Tour from 2001-2009. In the span from ~03 to 2011, three individuals died competing including one person in Alaska at an event that I was at, waiting up top to drop on my run. That experience has had lasting repercussions on my life. There are still big mountain freeskiing contests and people are still risking it all at these events. I still watch them. Rampage Take: There is something fundamentally...

10/17/2025 4:56pm I root for Dak more than anyone in the field. Not because he is American. I like his story. Getting into the sport later in life. Grinding as a privateer. Coming from a humble background and a part of the world far from any DH trails. And then, sort of like Benoit, just improving year after year to the point that he was one slippery turn from winning the rainbow stripes. Now after a massive injury he got back to 4th place on 1.5 legs. Insane. I like his style too, sneaky smooth and smart racecraft. At MSA I thought...
