i think it's fair to see this as a copout...i considered this myself. is there a bike that has caught your attention this year? even if you didn't ride it? we've had plenty of bike reviews and test sessions this year that have dug into bikes and their abilities. calling out a single one as "best" just doesn't apply these days. for many riders, a bike purchase isn't about innovation. that capra, even though it's "old", still put moir on a world cup enduro podium this year. a TUES won a world cup this year. new and innovative doesn't always...

I full well know that it is a far better ROI to sponsor “influencers” over actual racers, and I know the industry has been and will continue to throw more money that way, but I’m still allowed to hate it. I get so bummed seeing sponsorship dollars flung at Instagram riders making average, run of the mill, background noise content for 10k plus people, than going to someone pouring their heart and soul into hours of training, riding, and generally busting their ass in search of chasing the dream and putting up results that at best, a few thousand will...

There are also more than a few examples on the road side of the sport. Gary Fisher has kids all over the west coast, maybe some of them are good riders. They may not know who their father is, though.

Or you could try to understand how something like that could happen by accident. 99% of the between the tape is legit. End of a stage, redlined, muddy goggles? It’s possible it was on purpose, but if your purposely going to cheat your looking for places to do so without a line of participants with waiting phones to capture it.
