2/3/2025 8:08pm From all the vlogs I've seen from other riders, Jackson, Bernard, etc all thought he was crazy doing 95% laps all day, whereas they were all doing 80% for fewer laps. Apparently he was riding faster than anyone ever has in January before. Ronan was basically saying that that's where he thinks the sport will be in a few years, and he wants to be ahead of the curve. Essentially that hitting the gym and trail bikes over the winter then hopping on the big rig for DH laps a few weeks before the season is not going to cut...

2/3/2025 8:06pm Weird the article got taken down. But big props to Dunbar and Rob Venables for their long time support for Canadian DH racing. Great shop and group of guys, worth stopping by to see some legendary DH bikes/memorabilia if you find yourself in Vancouver.

1/31/2025 10:18pm I just made an account to make this comment, I'm the guy in that video. They definitely felt bizarre and completely wrong the first couple days with them, which is all we showed in the video. After riding them more I started to love them, and I'll get them on again once the bike park opens. They're not an advantage over normal chainless riding, they're just goofy and fun. Lots of people reached out to buy a set from us, but ours was just a one off we made. If those people put their money where their mouth is that...

12/24/2024 3:31pm Serious thanks to Vital MTB and SRAM for their outrageous prize package. Totally blew my mind. Really enjoyed the Fantasy competition and do hope that this continues for 2025. Thanks again.

12/6/2024 6:51am Curious to try the new High Roller. Switched to the super soft DH Krypto FRs (front and back) two years ago on both the DH and enduro bike and while grip performance vs. Maxxis' top offerings has been about equal (subjective preference, both excellent), I've found rolling resistance to be slightly better but the wear is massively improved so performance drops off much later plus I'm spending less on tires. Similar pressures as the Assegais they replaced. Lots of good options out there.

12/3/2024 9:06am Doing some micro-shootouts comparing a few tires (or products in other categories) is high on our to-do list next year. Everything is so good these days, that zooming in and comparing some really similar products would be rad. Especially with tires when visually so many look similar. I also really want to ride the Shredda. Thing looks mean. It's also very on-brand for me....

12/3/2024 8:23am Always appreciate these tests but it would really up the value if the comparison was more apples to apples (ex. Maxxis High Roller vs Continental Argotal vs Schwalbe Shredda).

11/4/2024 6:41am Someone work for GasGas. Those rubber bumpers are always there for a reason. These plastic farings serve no other purpose than to appeal to the moto crowd. That’s not a necessarily a negative thing because at least they’re removable for the rest of us so we don’t look like complete dorks at the trails

11/1/2024 8:40pm The Sentinel is still a bit more descent hungry than the Stumpjumper 15. It just rides with more authority and isn't as light on its feet as the Stumpy when it comes to moving the bike around. Not to say you can't get jiggy on the Sentinel. I would just pick it over the Stumpy if I was heading to a bike park or going shuttling since it felt more composed in the rough stuff. Climbing abilities are really similar. I rode the Stumpy with an Eliminator/Bucher GridTrail casing tire combo, and the Sentinel with a High Roller 3/Assegai DH...

11/1/2024 8:39pm Yeah its why I built both bikes. Never rode the brand before. But overall, the Spire is much more cloud like and the Sentinel poppy. Of course its full Fox air with volume reducers on the Sentinel and Push coils front and rear on the Spire. Will get some pics up of both here soon. The Sentinel is the bike I go for most as it matches the trails here in middle Tennessee very well. The Spire is a bit overkill for my immediate area, but great in east Tennessee where its 75% down and much faster and rocky. Either...

11/1/2024 8:38pm We did a group brake test last month (that should come out next week) and can confirm adhesive clips like these work pretty well for external routing haha
