Right? Bummed that the 27.5 is only available in the small size. Otherwise it looks like a real ripper and this is exactly the kind of value disruption this industry needs!

Some useful stuff for the average rider and some really useful stuff for actual racers. Also useful stuff for the Type A, super competitive, stravassholes with ego issues!

Second the Megneg comment. It is a PITA to tune but once you get it right it feels amazing, especially on a bike the the Bronson V3 that blows through travel. The midstroke and beyond is super supportive but the wheel still moves out of the way nicely in the rough. I ended up with 4 bands in the negative...

The countermeasure does nothing imo. The megneg is the real deal, but it took a lot of back to back runs, strap wrenches, rubber bands, volume spacers, cock....i mean shock pumps..... but it did work well. My 2020 bike I kept it stupidly heavy and simple, DHX2 with Cane Creek progressive spring, F36 up front with the underated fitgrip damper and a vorsprung smashpot installed. It's quiet, virtually maintenance free and plush AF.

How is this possible? The reviews told me that the rear suspension was too stiff? That...that it didn't work well... Am I supposed to take these reviews with a grain of salt?

I just wish companies would offer decent spec on their ALU rigs. I don't want to buy an aluminum complete only to have to instantly replace breaks, shock and possibly fork as well. Any brand putting LevelT or low end guide brakes on there "enduro" bikes can fuck right off.

So if you can't have both a Blur and a Hightower or Megatower get a Tallboy/Joplin for a very nice compromise. I had the 2020 Hightower and while it was certainly a little more work to climb vs the Tallboy it was noticeably more composed on the rough high speed sections. A compromise I'm willing to make but I totally get the appeal of the Tallboy/Joplin. In reality the Tallboy would suit 60-70% of my riding better than the Hightower...but I love downhill so...

I personally don't give AF about anyone producing an eBike. I actually find it highly amusing that so many Santa Kooks bro's will get worked up over it. That "their" pure soul core or whatever company went to the darkside or whatever. The thing is, while I know SC continues to make great bikes, they ceased being leaders in producing bikes that were unique, progressive and that had amazing value more than a half a dozen years ago. They play it safe with the designs and geometry as that is where the money is. Nothing wrong with that, but their...

I agree. I know this sounds weird, but if you actually ride an ebike, you understand this. It is totally not a motorcycle. You still have to pedal on ebikes. The feeling is more like someone is pushing from behind, not a motor laying down horsepower. If you don't ride bikes normally, of course you may be a bit intimidated by it (Point #5, the first #5 that is). But that's what learning and practicing is for. And for those of us who actually ride bikes: Learning and practicing is FUN. My 2 cents is that the more I ride...

"The industry also needs to stop presenting that we are somehow better than motorized users because we have to pedal to access that power. It is immaterial that a motorcycle does not have to be pedaled." Nope. Pedal assist (along with speed caps) is the clear differentiator from a traditional motorcycle. There is a big difference between how you ride something with pedal assist and how you ride something with a throttle. With an eBike you get assistance on the way up (the power isn't free and is still limited by user output). On the way down you ride it...

Someone needs to make the SX/NX cassettes illegal. Buyers are getting screwed. It weighs so much it ruins the feel of the bike and the buyer is stuck with a hub that they'll either need to pay for a new driver to upgrade or buy a new wheelset. These >500g cassettes suck!
