The only thing i use the in-frame storage for on my Fuel EX is adding weights to play with sprung/unsprung mass ratio. Tools and stuff in there are too dang loud. In-frame storage is the new mid-fat tire.

All I’m doing is read the criteria. This forum needs the ban broom brought out to sweep your rudeness away.

mickey Added a reply to US Nationals 2025 venue?

8/16/2024 4:49am
The people i know in communications at usac have no idea when they might have a venue announcement. With XC, Masters/JR Road , Pro Road and Masters Track all returning to the Southeast/Mid Atlantic next year, it would certainly be easier for the truck driver and the rental steel fencing to stay down south. There are very few destination marketing...

LA28 hasn’t even confirmed where xc will be. They stated Bonelli Park in the 2017 bid packet, but their current marketing materials are suspiciously devoid of any mention of “mtb”, xco, etc. With kayaking and softball both set to take place in Oklahoma, i would be pretty un-surprised if Arkansas was where they decide to send the mtb race.
Don’t we still want metal bicycles from time to time? The main reason seatposts are the diameters that they are are because they roughly correlate with the internal diameter of round tubes you buy from industrial suppliers. messing too much with the seatube diameter requires machining collars you plug weld into the tube to recieve the desired diameter.

I used to complain about gravel gear range until I remembered that gravel is for people in the Midwest.

Big brands know you were going to buy a Raaw or a Forbidden. You think they’re trying to compete with those brands? Heck no. They’re happy to let them get in on the niche end of the game. Big brands don’t have time to chase trends. They make big fancy bikes for people with teslas and rivianz. Dakine Fanny and pit vipers and discretionary income. A couple kids on the way that the big brands want to get into the Fam asap. At least half the people at the big brands don’t even ride. They come from tech and vacuum...

Why is it that the Gen 2 Bronson/5010 were so damn good for so many people, but we are so far away from that now? I had the bronson and felt like it was perfect in the middle, run light tires for XC/all mountain and then throw heavys on for DH laps. Miss that bike a bit too much.

That's the one! I knew somebody here would know it. I know people who have used it for kids shocks and super lightweights. I understand why Fox and Rockshox use the same oil, but it would be very beneficial IMO if they ship with different weights and just have a sticker on the product showing what current oil is in it for servicing.

They are the exact same frames. Cannondale pulled them out of a closet in Connecticut and painted them. At least they have a paint shop in America…

For an ebike, shifting delays really suck. For a traditional bike, shifting delays really suck. Transmission, when paired with Sram's ebike motor (rebranded Brose) will likely reduce wear on your chain & cassette, but I don't think its worth the added weight, cost, complexity, and laggy shifts.
