If you don’t think of Evil and E.13 (named after a police precinct in Boston) as Maine-based companies, you probably aren’t in your mid 40’s, ahaha.
Pretty sure these builds exist to outfit bike parks with their rental fleet for the year.

Last I heard from a Lake Placid kid who lives in Durango now, the MVH event director is in the drivers seat for project dh worldcup track. Inviting AG over is certainly a good sign.

Nobody at USAC has been paying any attention to any of the rules they put in place re: UCI race bids in years. It’s ultimately up to USAC to rubber stamp bids. ORDA is likely gonna get a pass on that dude to their very significant USOPC connections.

There are plenty of people/firms in America that could get a world cup track ready in a year, especially at Whiteface, because it’s very obvious where the track needs to be located. Can’t imagine much analysis paralysis- just end the darn thing at the mid-lodge. ORDA is going to charge entry anyway, might as well give all the spectators lift...

Mike, I’ve heard from multiple people that they will be using Whiteface. Everyone who grew up racing and riding there assumes mid lodge will be the finish area, an new lift is going in from the base that will make it easy to get spectators up there. FUN Fact! In 1998 when Stephan Girard(the original French dh super-coach) was working...

any coverage, at all, of the DS? The recent usdh trend of running slalolm on Friday mid day and doing a whipoff on Saturday evening when DS finals SHOULD be happening is so laaaaame.

The only thing i use the in-frame storage for on my Fuel EX is adding weights to play with sprung/unsprung mass ratio. Tools and stuff in there are too dang loud. In-frame storage is the new mid-fat tire.

mickey Added a reply to US Nationals 2025 venue?

8/16/2024 4:49am
The people i know in communications at usac have no idea when they might have a venue announcement. With XC, Masters/JR Road , Pro Road and Masters Track all returning to the Southeast/Mid Atlantic next year, it would certainly be easier for the truck driver and the rental steel fencing to stay down south. There are very few destination marketing...

LA28 hasn’t even confirmed where xc will be. They stated Bonelli Park in the 2017 bid packet, but their current marketing materials are suspiciously devoid of any mention of “mtb”, xco, etc. With kayaking and softball both set to take place in Oklahoma, i would be pretty un-surprised if Arkansas was where they decide to send the mtb race.
Don’t we still want metal bicycles from time to time? The main reason seatposts are the diameters that they are are because they roughly correlate with the internal diameter of round tubes you buy from industrial suppliers. messing too much with the seatube diameter requires machining collars you plug weld into the tube to recieve the desired diameter.
