Why? Because nobody is trying to promote one! World Cup races don't just happen- there needs to be a well funded and dedicated local organizing committee and significant six-figure capital investment to make a World Cup work. There are people and organisations in the Windham region who are willing to lay down significant sums of personal cash with little or no financial return because they love bike racing and want to promote their region to the world.

Griz(and other passionate loudmouths)- If you want to keep getting stoked on revolution, do, because this is one of those formative moments where we can all make a difference. When the media finishes unraveling the whole Armstrong ball of yarn it's final terminus will be at USAC. There were 65 entrants. It's funny... the entire event ran SO MUCH BETTER last year when there were 2 officials(one of whom had never been to a mtb race before) versus the 8 I've counted so far this weekend. I had to go over to my condo to dig up the rule book during amateur DS qualies on Friday because none of the officials had a freaking clue what to do if a rider missed a gate on one of their qualifying runs. The officials didn't "have" a rule book available to consult so they were just going to DQ...

I've been building and racing 650b xc bikes for 5 years now. 29'rs suck, as we all know, but 650b stuff get's a little bit better roll over and little bit better cornering over a 26" wheel that definitely helps you have more fun. As soon as I can buy a DH casing 650b tire I'll have one wedged into my Dorado in a heartbeat. Y'alls gonna be OK with 650b stuff. It's fun and fast and doesn't require a freak bike. Nothing to dislike really...
