Have you thought about running a oneup top guide (minimal but effective, haven't heard of any chains getting sucked in) with a non-guide bashguard down below to protect the BB area?

I recently built up my custom Bronson V3 and wanted to do a full on custom build...so I did. Planned a trip to Finale Ligure and the first day went pretty well, second day I got a little off line and that cost me my new XTR 12 speed derailleur and 7 spokes (Industry Nine Enduro 305 with Hydra Hubs).... Luckily I had spares and were able to fix the damage, after 1.5 hours I was back on track. Learned my lesson the hard way. Downgraded my drivetrain to XT/SLX and wheels to the Industry Nine 101 with J Spokes...

I’ve found 160mm rotors have too little stopping power in some situations. I can’t imagine trying to stop with 2.3mm rotors. Do you only ride in the flattest fields in the middle of Kansas on trails with zero turns?

Per the topic, the question is pretty simple really: When the gate agent takes their tape measure to an Orucase B2XL, will it pass as sub 62"? According to the Orucase website the measurements for even the regular size add up to more than 62" yet according to https://www.velonews.com/gear/review-orucase-b2-bike-travel-case/ the B2 passes "just barely" because of the shape of the case makes it difficult to measure its true dimensions. The article does not specify whether they had a regular size or the XL version but I assume they had the regular size one since it barely cleared a 58cm cross...

11/17/2020 9:55am There's nothing stopping you from putting a lockout on a coil, as that is done through a damper. I feel you could put a lockout on the Fox VAN/ Marzocchi CR (they are identical) to create more of a budget trail coil shock.

Commencal said they will ditch model years and release bikes when they are ready. Yet they still have 2020 and 2021 bikes on their site right now, so that went out the window... As for the smaller brands, I think it's just out of necessity as they don't have the resources (personell and money) to refresh the bikes every year. And many smaller companies offer frames only with some equipment kits anway, so they just refresh the equipment kit and call it a day.
