Based on my own bike design, the rearward axle path will make enough clearance for 200mm or more travel. The only problem will be there's not enough chain for the 50/51/52T cog at bottom out with the current rear derailleur designs. You shouldn't have that problem if you stick to a dh drivetrain though.
I'm excited for this bike. I might get one and run it as a downduro bike when it comes out.

It's not as if bottle mounts add that much weight to a frame, or reduce strength significantly. Why not have them on a downhill bike. Electrolytes on park laps or race practice. Good stash spot for pipe and lighter on park laps or race practice. Just basic water on park laps or practice? Why not have the option? If GG can base four or more bikes off of one front triangle, why not add downhill capability? Racers tune their suspension to different race tracks. Why not have the option of tuning the suspension travel as well?
