3/26/2026 11:11am Does the Fox 38 coming with 200mm post mount mean that 203 rotors can finally die already? Please???

3/26/2026 11:09am So the solution to the Sea Otter release tsunami is to release things earlier... but not talk about certain bits? The Mondraker has motor, fork and rims blurred out 🤣

3/26/2026 11:09am think the issue here isn't so much the wrong link as the fact that the product looks a little shady. I also find the product questionable, to say the least. You could really run a pencil along the chain...

3/26/2026 11:09am Cycling is gradually losing its traditional core audience and becoming more heterogeneous, which is generally a good thing. But with that shift comes a change in dynamics. As the market opens up, it also attracts more short-term, fast-moving consumer logic. Quick wins, quick products, quick margins. I’m not saying this specific product falls into that category. But this broader opening of the cycling industry inevitably pulls in brands that are less rooted in the sport itself. The kind of “our wallet is revolutionary” or “this key holder will change your life” products, solving problems that don’t really exist. So yes...

3/26/2026 11:08am Yes, it is 200mm post mount on the 29" version. Still 180 on the 27.5 for some reason. But who is really buying a new 38 if you're still rocking that size after being able to get forks around 50% off for the dead end size.

3/26/2026 8:13am Graphite powder is a very common lubricant used in lots of places, nothing to say it can't work on some parts of a bicycle. I am a little sceptical about it being able to penetrate the chain rollers in the way a liquid would.

3/23/2026 12:20am intel that just came through - luca flat, ronan flat, gwin lost traction in the chicane berms, dak's crash yesterday was pretty rough. apparently coughing up blood, so they thought maybe punctured lung. obviously he laid low today.

3/21/2026 1:48am My understanding is that manufacturers mostly build carbon frames from the ground up (as opposed to being assembled from pre-manufactured tubes, a la Atherton Bikes), and that layup patterns don't vary much or at all between sizes ( with a few notable exceptions). But that might be old wisdom on my part, and perhaps the industry is more sophisticated in the way it designs layup patternds now. Maybe everyone is tuning thickness and layup pattern between sizes, but only a few brands are explicitly advertising it. Here's an example of Unno's layup for the Dash 130:

3/20/2026 1:36pm Looks like the old gloss gypsum color with decals. Shock mount is the same (not recessed like Bronson).

3/20/2026 1:34pm You are quite an outlier in body proportions so I get why you don't fit on the V10 well but to call it out as having outdated geometry is questionable when really your fit needs scale to something more like an XXL. Anyway good luck, I'd imagine getting the right fit is hard with a +4 inch ape index. Personally I think SC has nailed the sizing on the V10. At 6ft and a half inch I'm on the middle headset cup and long chainstay setting and it's great. Stable and agile and without a doubt the most confidence inspiring...

3/20/2026 1:33pm Correct, though as of last year Float X2 is no longer twin tube and has moved to a mono-tube design. We kept the X2 designations to help the majority of riders understand what product relates to what category and what adjustments they can expect on the product.

3/18/2026 12:08am You're an amateur. I carry a ton of tools, but every other year or so something goes so horribly wrong I STILL have to walk back to the car. Bikes are pretty good though. My proudest trailside repair was actually roadside...blew a shifter cable 40 miles from home on a cold February day on my gravel bike. I had an extra cable in my little revelate gas tank bag. Fixed it, rode home.
