Similar product, spotted at the Snow Summit National last weekend behind someone's van. Asked and he said they work great, exactly as intended. We compared notes about how blown away we both were the first time riding a heavy ebike through choppy rough stuff. The front one is apparently an off-the-shelf moto product that fits a Dorado upper leg without modifications. And yes, these are definitely suspended mass dampers. Sadly, this bike needed a steering damper and hand guards to win bike tech bingo.

We chatted about including all those forks, but had to draw the line somewhere when it came to # of forks in the test. I think that the Edge, Bright Racing, and Nine.One are all unique and boutique enough to deserve their own review. Or comparison between them all would be really interesting.

Yup, no Manitou, EXT, Push, Intend, Bright Racing, MRP, or Temu knock-offs. But that just means they're on the list to review in the future 🤙

I guess I am going to be that guy but the $550 (for now) Manitou Mezzer Pro is better than my Zeb or factory 36 ever was

Mezzer Pro remains my favorite, although the 38 is almost as good. Tokens are such a crude way of modifying spring curve after you’ve owned an IRT fork.

Having run plenty of demo days I'd say it's about 30% just having a go on an expensive bike for free, 20% just telling you what is wrong with the bike, 20% "just confirming that my bike IS better", 20% "I'm thinking of replacing my 2011 bike in the next 3-5 years" , 9% having one of the bikes on a shortlist but "I'm going to buy whatever I get the best deal on" and 1% actually going on to buy something from the demo. A couple a year was more than enough to never want to do it again.

I don’t know how to describe it other than saying it floats over all but the most extreme chunk. I’ve said this to multiple people and it sounds ridiculous but it is almost too good in that it eats up bumps so well that I was going so fast that it was hard to hold my line. The Frameworks DH bike blows away any DH bike I have tried. I was very happy with the Phoenix and I’m a huge fan of Pivot in general. Unfortunately it isn’t comparable. The Frameworks bike, even though I set it up as a hybrid Enduro bike, is night and day better.
