It’s essentially a method to overfill the master cyclinder slightly to create a shorter lever throw. Turning towards the “IN” arrow expands the volume of the master cylinder slightly. When the bleed procedure is complete, turning the pad contact back the opposite direction sort of pressurizes the line and advances the pistons sooner than if the system was bled at its lowest volume. I’ve done this with Codes for years and have found it to be beneficial on Mavens as well.

The price is absolutely unjustified. When NOBL can build you a set of DT 180's laced to premium carbon hoops for less than $2000.

For me, this is exactly why there's more to a brake than raw power. As a Brit, I'm supposed to love Hope brakes. I had a set and really wanted to love them, but for me the lever is a littlle too sharp/square around the hook. The V3 lever has a better shape (again, for me). I'm not unhappy with Hope brakes, but I can choose from my favorite parts, so I do. As an aside, I saw a company making CNC levers for Sram brakes. To me the stock lever is one of the best things about Sram brakes...

3/13/2024 9:21am I've been running a 2020 Fox 36 with a 2023 Grip 2 Damper at 170mm with zero tokens and a Luftkappe to enlarge the negative air chamber, and while the fork isn't as stiff as some of the burlier forks I have on my other bikes, the 36 chassis is still stiff enough for big rock gardens and hard work...

I think I saw this bike in the back of an older Tundra, on Sunday in San Marcos. Jack's bikes stand out like a sore thumb (In a good way). Great build!
