Banshee Darkside Grom (Custom) 3
Parts
General Info
I decided to build a bike for my 9 year old with my wife's old park frame (don't tell her). Slapped some new paint on, and messed with the geometry pretty aggressively. I used a longer than stock shock but then reduced the e2e by 4 mm using offset bushings to achieve the right bb height when using a set of 26" wheels on 27.5 dropouts in low position. This combined with a -1.5 angleset got the geometry right in line with something like a Chromag minor threat. Total build cost was <$2k CAD and my daughter ended up with a quite a unique bike that she will be racing this summer.
