Ksilvey10 Added a reply to Update to "Too many bike brands"
11/13/2025 9:31am Yessir. Forgot to put that one in red. Feel free to update as well.
Ksilvey10 Started a new thread Update to "Too many bike brands"
11/13/2025 7:02am There are too many attempts to slice the pie. Below are three links to different public docs listing all bike brands that make legit MTBs. (I have the lists reducing by popularity) It's no wonder brands are dying. ALL the ones people can come up with: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YSC2R7E8klzjKC4WfZDTNh6tSrKjo2yNxOJ… Bigger-ish brands: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ajmkOF_YYTcCFTpYMAn-C3yHGY4QmP65D1B… Commercial: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O3Nw5Wezek0tDx9438T7l27gBwoxuQ1J2IH…

8/7/2025 7:48am I am a big believer in the radials, but there are definitely weaknesses to the Albert. I am VERY anxiously waiting for that prototype that is in some pics that looks like a HRIII/Butcher/Verdict but is in a radial casing. As soon as it's available I will be buying.

7/21/2025 3:10pm This fork LIKES when you actually use the compression damping. Don't be afraid to turn those suckers clockwise to get the best out of it.

7/21/2025 3:07pm Two more comments. The stock floppy fender is fine. You can clamp a Thule XTR hitch rack arm on top of it no problem. I would not want a beefier fender as it would jeopardize how the reverse arch design has to play nice with this style of rack. Second, as an otherwise happy Mezzer owner, the crown paint mega-sucks. Like 4-5 wet, muddy shuttle laps on a North Shore rack, going up a bumpy gravel road, and "wow the paint is gone fast" sucks. They should just do raw crowns or include a guide on how to DIY strip...

7/10/2025 1:16pm I think a lot of reviewers made two mistakes: 1. Doing a review after 1 ride (they need some break-in) and 2. Not running enough air. That's where they are a game-changer. No inserts needed. Fast roll-speed for the category without sacrificing traction or protection. For an enduro bike, I am not going back to non-radials because I don't want...

Ksilvey10 Added a reply to Full HBO with open HSC?
4/21/2025 8:34am I have the Superdeluxe Ultimate coil with HBO and I have found that it actually feels a lot better running HSC only one click from fully closed, HBO totally clockwise, but with the spring set where I am getting that full 30% sag. A coil, especially the vivid with that top 10% being basically no damping, is going to blow...
Ksilvey10 Added a comment about feature Family Feud - Who Has the Best IZZO Build?
2/17/2025 12:59pm For the kind of riding I would want to do on an Izzo, the Yellow bike would be better. Transmission and those lighter wheels make a big difference. Ohlins is sweet, but the Izzo (in my world) would be for covering a lot of ground.

12/6/2024 8:10am Missouri is truly it's own category. You think it's the Midwest until you go somewhere like Milwaukee, then you realize it's definitely more "southern" ... Then you go somewhere like central Arkansas and realize it's not the South, either. It really is a mix, and where I live was the population center of the USA in the 1980s and I...

12/4/2024 5:10am You might be disappointed then! Lol. We talk about Shepherd Mountain a lot, and those are the gnarliest trails anywhere between Windrock and Keystone. It's only 600 ft of vert, but it's the gnarliest 600 ft you'll find anywhere.

12/3/2024 2:15pm I host "The World's Okayest Mountain Bike Podcast" - it's pretty casual. Clean. We try to cover universal mtb topics when we can, but do have a lot of Midwest/Missouri content. When we do nerd out, it gets downright philosophical.

11/11/2024 6:32pm I know you won't get the cool points for it, but the new giant trance is really good. I've raced a 52 and 1/2 mi Epic and a local Enduro on some more flowy type downhills and was plenty happy in both situations.
