Heres a one off / prototype I made for myself that after some interest I will be doing a small batch of, Enjoy! Its a seatpost steepening shim: Reduces effective top tube length by 8-10mm (at 350mm extension from collar) Specs: 30.9mm to 34.9 mm Actual seatpost angle : ~ +1.0 degree Effective seatpost angle : ~ +0.6 degree Maximum :~280mm (Full depth on a 2020 Enduro) https://www.instagram.com/zencomponents

Was impossible, tried everything to no avail. Ended up going with a Jagwire Universal Hose Kit + their Hayes Quick Fit Adapter which is a 5.0mm hose. Brake feels essentially the same. Other option is to use a new Shimano BH-90 hose with a Hayes barb/olive but the Shimano compression nut and hose cover (as they're made for 5mm vs. Hayes 5.5mm).

Last year, on a bike trip to Vermont, while paused at the top of two trails and deciding animatedly amongst us which of the two to ride down, Phil Kmetz popped out from behind a tree like some kinda goddamn gnome and recommended the Blue over the Black, if were to only hit this area once, which we were, and then pointed us to another trail system in the area which ended up being an absolute gem and the highlight of our trip. I thought there was no way this was true, but yeah it sure seems like it. It's super sensitive to miniscule changes but there's almost no way it's actually 170mm, and if anything it's closer to 180mm. I guess sometimes it "rides like it has more travel than it does" because, well, it actually does.

Bike like this needs a bash guard unless it's not used to anywhere near to it's potential. Or the rider finds changing chains/chainrings weirdly satisfying.
