People think "Bad Cell Service" means they need to just walk over there to get it or wait a minute for a download. Ride Rock Creek there is: NO CELL SERVICE. NO INTERNET. NO ETHERNET. NO WIFI. Everyone shows up and gets a huge wake up call to just how "untethered" it. Only thing you can do is airdrop a pic to "ya boi" 5 feet away.

I ran a set of Xynotal from and back in DH casing for the Mt. 7 Psychosis DH this past weekend and really happy with them. Coming from North Van where we usually run soft sticky tires for wet roots I went with the Xynotal in soft as a dry conditions tire. They roll fast and don't feel like a draggy DH tire. Before racing the DH on them I put in two back to back 1200m climbing days on the tires and happy with their fast rolling and decent weight. Was running too low a pressure for the first...

Can we talk about how rad the sleeper collective video edits from the uci dh race weekends are? The last one from leogang really shows the feel/fun of the event and really makes me want to grab my bike and go out for a ride. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gP7YQEKkfA

I've had lots of issues too. I have wide shoulder and very large hands. Switching to bigger grips helped a lot: I liked Sensus Meaty Paws then switched to SQ Lab 711 and settled on OneUp Thick which aren't the thickest of the ones I've tried but my wrists are the happiest. I tried some 12' backsweep bars that helped a lot but when I changed bikes my positioning was different and I switched to 11' Salsa Rustler carbon bars. Bonus for compliance: the Rustlers are 31.8. Carbon bar on a 31.8 clamp super compliant compared to alloy or anything...

Hang from overhead bar as long as possible. Do it as a training regime. You all can thank me later.

I would join the Global Conservation Mountain Biking Club and buy a yacht to park in Princess Louisa Inlet and ride these trails: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipO1RL9jF_wdZDgpg_Fc5xVBHiYwl-oYQHi… Not my photos. There is a thread on the other site's forums that talk about this organization and these trails. There is a bit of background in the 2nd last paragraph here: https://www.princesslouisa.bc.ca/history "An organization called Global Conservation Mountain Biking Club, whose actual owners have not been revealed, has bought a waterfront parcel. When the society learned that the mountain bikers would come into the inlet by helicopter there was some concern. Yet in the last...

I'd buy property in places I want to ride (Squamish, Revelstoke, somewhere in Europe, etc) and host friends whenever they want to come out. Donate tons to different trail organizations and non-profits that promote cycling and make access easier to low-income and marginalized communities. Ride when/where I want. Maybe push the limits of N+1, but give so many bikes away. I don't think I'd invest in a team, or bike park or company. I want to ride bikes because it's fun and wouldn't want it to turn into work.

Hayes is having a 20% off sale, so I'm getting Dominions. Was going to order from their site, but my LBS price matched, so stoked about that (don't have to deal with shipping, duty, etc). Once I have a bit of time on them, I'll make sure to do a good review for all the clydes out there. Ha ha

I'm not talking shit about how the brakes work, I have no idea how they work and if they just copied trickstuff they probably are great. But seeing as they look like they just copied trickstuff, come straight from China, a country known for blatant IP infringement with no local enforcement, it seems kind of shitty to promote them.

What utter non-sense. If the order of the day is fastest down the hill wins, then throw everything at it. I couldnt care less about the looks, I want racing at the highest degree. I am also a fan of creative work arounds for rules, its only cheating if you get caught, and its deemed illegal. Hit Send

Mugen Liked a reply to forum topic Scrubs are slower then squashing: My MTB hot take

100% disagree with your take, simply because in an ideal scrub the bike is still perfectly in line with the direction of movement. A whip for sure will slow you down, and that is what your "bike on a car rack" analogy corresponds to. Frixtalon + dark googles + scrub is just how I picture myself every ride, despite actually doing a weak turnbar on an ebike wearing prescription glasses in a 3/4 helmet.
