From what I understand from the new rules, because this race was part of the UCI continental series and in the top 5, she gets a entry into a WC race. Does she get to pick which race she enters or does the UCI assign her a race? If she gets to pick, which venue does she pick? Good to see the CDN on the podium 😎

Being a young sport ( Performance MTB ) many of us came from various socioeconomic backgrounds to make it happen in the 90s but now that landscape is quite different. To comment on the single pawl on the pusher and concerns with torque/loading: that pawl never actually carries any drivetrain loads, it only acts to engage the 3 traditional pawls on the freehub, so those are actually the items carrying the drive loads.

Well a person has two options: 1) Try to make the best decisions possible (vote with your dollar) while still living life. This is in regard to sustainability, social causes, etc. OR 2) Take up direct action to spark a groundswell revolution and remove the late-stage capitalist system that will ultimately destroy the planet if not reigned in. Very few if any are choosing number two, so might as well strive for option one. Or just pick nihilism and wait for it all to crumble anyway.
