10/23/2024 4:38am yes, same here, I think it's stupid not to come out with news. same as with sponsors/partners but then I think about who's planning to buy a new bike/helmet/stuff because they saw riders/teams use it this season. I think brands, some brands, prefer to wait until last minute to announce changes, so that customers/buyers still buy the products they saw...

Most of the road racing transfers have been announced, as they can from August 1st; so why does it take the MTB world so long to announce transfers? It's bizarre, and has to be said, backward..... So much of the MTB world needs to get its sh1t together; it's 2024, not 2004 anymore.

There were rumours of changes, but it seems like we're going to see a massive shake up in XC. Maybe there are budget cuts, and teams can't afford under performing riders taking up spots.

10/8/2024 6:32am Alan Hatherly OFF Cannondale. already signed elsewhere for 2025. not Specy/Bora. not Decathlon. rumors are Giant/Jayco. Trek who knows, but Trek probably has no more budget. Cannondale Factory Racing will change a lot, not just Hatherly is leaving Loana Lecomte to BMC Marotte retires and will set up a new team with new sponsors

Most XCO riders would be contracted until the end of 2024 at least. 2024 is an Olympic year so riders don't want to move to a new team / bike / etc. while focusing on the 1 in every 4 years Olympic race.

My limited view on the situation leads me to think that Norco is not looking good financially and is pulling out of racing to prepare for a global recession (or a potential acquisition by another company). I hope no one else in Norco gets laid off and the brand continues past 2023 and beyond.
