Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.

I wonder if Ella Swegby will be racing this year for Trek. She was away all 2025 season, but she posted that she was back on the bike last month. She had some very good results 2024, after switching from Enduro to DH.

Hot take: we need less elites in finals (for men). I'd vote for 20 Elite Men, 15 (and eventually 20) Elite Women in Finals. Maybe not right this moment, but eventually. The current package is already a long watch, and they still don't capture entire runs of every rider. I think there is lot of potential with less racers to hone in on elevating each racers notoriety; potential to adjust the schedule to minimize track degradation and allow for safer speed increases throughout a weekend; and hopefully more money paid across the entire field. Love this format so much. I wish things like this were readily available for amateur races. Seems like all local races are XC, enduro, or maybe DH. But as someone with a trials/BMX background, I want to make a fool of myself on climbs, slalom, supercross jump lines, switchbacks, etc.

Just my observation but I live in western Canada and can’t think of the last time I saw an Intense in the wild. This includes plenty of time in Whistler, Squamish, etc. I assume they sell more in the US but can’t comment. Makes me wonder if the race team is worth their investment.

Just doing my part of adding to the rumors 🍿 Dak won’t tell me anything for the record. But I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about that brand that also makes goggles as a potential team. They’ve got two spots that I know of open going into next year I’d love to see him on Frameworks, just feels right. Ah sorry, I was getting carried away talking about product instead of teams...however none of you are guessing the pro riders foot in my picture? Man I thought that was what team rumours was all about! I thought someone would have blown it up and analysed the lacing pattern to identify who is going to be spearheading the Nukeproof team in 2026!
