Not going to deny any rider out there chasing down what they think their worth, but that figures (if it’s true) are pretty wild. someone like Martin Whitley could probably workout what all the riders are worth financially in terms of results/brand endorsement. This sport lacks clarity when it comes to money and contracts. 250k is fantasy league money.. and even if it’s split between the two of them it’s still crazy money. was that 250k a proposed budget for they to set up their own team?

Interesting IF true, good she values her brand/service/needs as a racer, but it's a gross overestimation of that value.

Oh my, Cannondale is listed in their holdings under "Sport" instead of "Performance" [SC/Juliana/GT].

I don’t think they’re really a great fit for Evil - not that they’re not good people. Just not a fit for Evil imho

OneUp is owned by PON, so other brands probably dont want to be supporting their competitor by specing it OEM or allowing it to be front and center on their team bikes?

Eagle derailleur was feeling left out - so I made a thing - replaces the washer on a standard UDH dropout with a "Brace" that links the rear derailleur for strength and stiffness.

in the What's the Bottom Line paragraph - "Considering that the on-trail performance of the two materials was very similar..." - the feel and experience between alloy and carbon front ends in this case wasn't terribly significant.

It’s really cool to see a bike review so focused on what riding and maintaining the bike was like, and not using the review as a vehicle to build the reviewer’s brand or launder paragraphs from the press release into seemingly original impressions. I didn’t once have to wonder ‘how could the tester know that, how could they have measured that?’ I want to be sympathetic to media workers who may be feeling pressured to write the mtb tech fan fiction that has become Outside’s (among others) core review style content, but the writing is so much better without it...
