Yeah I'd been thinking the same, a rental fleet for a bike park can easily set you back $100k or more, it would make financial sense for him to make a sweetheart deal for a fleet part of the package (a Gwin/Gwin situation, as the park fleet is also good advertising for the bike brand)

Gwin won back to back on a production YT Tues that was untested on the WC stage. He tinkered with frame size but used parts to try and dial his fit in. It wasnt till year 3 i believe where they tried retrofitted 29er stuff. Even the Demo he won a overall on was relatively off the shelf besides different suspension links for progression changes. One could argue that it wasn't until he got to intense before his performance really started to be inconsistent but his sprinkled in injuries did not help either. If Gwin was to ride the Yeti...

Agreed. Richie is plenty fast on his own and we tend to associate him with Yeti and vice-versa. Not to mention Yeti has had good success in sponsoring lesser known (ie cheaper) athletes. Not just that, but between Richie and Hannah, they've got high-level pros to lean on for product development. While I think it'd be awesome if Gwin ended up on a Frameworks or some similarly small brand, I just don't think he's at that point yet. If anything, I could Gwin pairing up with a manufacturer who cold provide him a rental fleet at Windrock. Gwin on Kona...
