Don't forget about the Cannibal. Tread pattern wise it's their closest to an Assegai but thrives more at higher speeds than the Assegai IMO. If you accidentally forget you’re in a high-power mode and ham-fist a shift, you’re not going to snap your chain or cassette or worse…

I didn't read everything but have been around the sport long enough to have seen "this sort of thing" before. Few observations. 1) Our opinion really doesn't matter. 2) The riders are going to do what the riders want to do. 3) From a sponsor/event perspective, this works. Ya Spomer, I'm honestly surprised Red Bull gave this jump/course change the green light. I've no idea how the decision making goes over there, but Red Bull are investing big money into this event each year and this is a weird direction
