Jonathon Simonetti Added a comment about feature Carbon MTB Handlebars: What's the Best All-Around Option? | Vital MTB Roundup Review
7/18/2024 10:10am Just added them in with a brief description. In my mind, those bars are a 10 out of 10, but I did consider the benefit of a softer bar in technical terrain.

7/18/2024 9:26am Thats the plan! We've already had a lot of requests on our Instagram for a second round of bars to be tested.

7/17/2024 3:06pm Yea I felt like the OneUp absorbed bumps better without sacrificing on handling. The RaceFace fell more in line with what I like a bar to feel like having a firmer flex profile, but for the sake of testing, the OneUp scored higher.

7/17/2024 2:33pm I'm 6'1.5, had a large 2023 Megatower and it was a bit short for me. Definitely will size up next time based on your review.

7/16/2024 12:33pm As a consumer I think it's so rad to have two bikes in one. One of my favorite bikes was my second gen Bronson that I swapped for a 5010 frame to race slalom. But the ability to use a 5mm longer stroke shock/fork air spring to turn it back into a Bronson made it the best of both worlds...

7/16/2024 12:24pm I've had a few bikes like that over the last year and have found losing a few spacers from under the stem above it has helped get things back in check. I normally run pretty tall bars but I struggled with the lack of pressure on the front of the bike and feeling like I had to pull against the bars rather than put my weight over them. I actually got the same sensation on this size XL from thinking 15mm taller bars would feel better. I believe the XXL Megatower has a 15mm longer headtube than the XL? Could...

7/16/2024 12:06pm Dang I didn't even think of that, would be a good comparison! I remember the suspension feeling pretty similar to the Altitude during our Enduro Test Sessions last year so I'm sure the two would be close despite the geometry differences.

7/17/2024 9:23am Talking with Collin, he mentioned that both bikes now have more progressive curves than before to help support coil/lower shock pressures.

7/16/2024 9:36am I waited 48 hours before riding it again but I suppose waiting to reinstall the BB would've been a better idea. Good to hear that solved it for you! Yes, after my first few rides I did end up going further into the HSC range. I only used control settings for the test to help understand the difference in kinematics between the two bikes.
