Talk is cheap, but the real question is: What's happening with Team Robot?

No doubt it sounds like they are freeing up some of their team money but I do think its worth mentioning most of their ambassadors are basically paid customers. Obviously Richie has a very legitimate salary. The rest I'd wager "get by", but its "live simply" (or get another job) kind of money. The rest this side of Nate Hills, who has done a fabulous job with his content, are *very* likely not even getting free stuff. I think the real irony is a lot of the ambassadors could go next door and pay retail for a Commencal and come...

If you want to not only be supported but especially earn a living as an athlete, then you've got to play along. Bikes are a business just like anything else. In the end, for the people in suits that pull levers and push buttons it's all about dollars. I don't understand feeling bad for them. No one is forcing them to ride bikes for a living. There are thousands of people out there that just ride, race and have regular jobs.

not so sure. i think a lot of ahtletes will end up with no contracts whatsoever. either brands realising they don't bring that much value or their sales are down already (can be temporarily oversaturated market or first sings of recession) i wasn't paying attention last year, but i don't remember that kind of carnage. correct me if i'm wrong.

Cannondale was just doing dh for the exposure according to the guy there I talked to on the lift at Thunder one day. They are firmly stuck in quiver killer mode. He was a bit shocked that people were still buying dh bikes and waiting for them to actually sell one again. If they are that clueless about dh, I doubt they have much of a clue on anything else dirt that isn’t xc.

The 27.5 Glory has been around now for quite a while. This same design was introduced half a decade ago when Danny Hart and Needles were still part of GFORT. That's still fairly recent, tbh, but it is the World Cup we're talking about. I wonder if a proto Glory will show up at the races this year.
