FWIW this is the app. Plug in the info, hit calculate and it spits out chain length. Chainstay length is preset by model/side/etc but I'm sure if that data point was editable it would spit out a different chain length.

No. For the general public it's a selling point at purchase and never used after. Most barely know how their suspension works much less what changes will do to it or even notice the changes on the trail.
I'm with you 100%. It seems to me the most likely place air is going to get trapped is in the caliper or master cylinder, not the line. First thing I do is pull a vacuum on each with the opposite end closed to get any bubbles out so I'm not pushing them through the system. I think it should...

jackson's winning v10 from hardline has an STFU down low near the chainring (instead of on top of the stay like we normally see). why would you run this instead of just using a lower chainguide wheel? wouldn't they kind of do the same thing? maybe not identically based on placement of STFU, but surely a lower guide wheel would interrupt/isolate some of the chain flop to the chainring? I totally get the idea of what these are supposed to do but even they admit it's not a true damper. https://www.rimpactmtb.com/tmd It seems to be just springs with no damper on the unit so it's a shake weight, any momentum in the weight "smoothing" the trail has an equal or greater opposite effect, right? It's basically a Canyon KIS...
Let me clarify, my "live that linear life" was a bit tongue and cheek. I crack myself up sometimes. I'm also in no way associated with them or can speak to suspension tuning with a super high degree of technical knowledge. I've had great customer experience with them and I'm super happy with the improvement their work did to my...

People complain as is about government spending, look at the shit show going on right now. Too many people hate money being used to assist those in actual need, if public money was spent on bike trials there would be a revolt! You sound like you need a break from CA.

Big Bear, Mammoth, North Star, etc would like to have a word with you. I won't take anything away from their dedication to MTB, but everything I've seen man made in Arkansa is sterilized.

A patent doesn't stop you from building something, but it does prevent you from exploiting it commercially. The use of the existing pivot bolt/idler location as a mounting point and the overlap between the chainring and the new drive ring suggests it was done this way because an idler pulley that large wouldn't fit without dramatically reducing the size of the chainring. Also either he doesn't understand "pedal efficiency" or I don't. It's effectively eliminated anti-squat, so pedal efficiency's now in the dirt.

No, it's not like that. Forbidden told me that a local dealer has one on order that can still be configured, however I want, and that they have all the details. The official release hasn't occurred yet, but that 'they would probably share some details in person with a serious customer...'. The fact is, the release isn't ready and maybe not even final. So they have a right to not share all of that. I'm told it's very expensive.
