Uhm actually Shimano Dura-Ace Track 7700 launched in 1996 is the longest running unchanged shimano gruppo. /nerd And yeah most spokes versions are 20+ years old. D-light was 2010 and CX-Ray was 1997 for Sapim.

Someone on mtbr said thier 2.5 Albert measured 2.37 on a 30mm rim. So I'm thinking all are about .1 narrow. If the contact patch is bigger (wider) does it matter what it meaures??????

12/11/2024 2:14pm I'm 100% with you on standardization but I'm not hopeful bc it's much more than mounting points. It's the entire package... spindle location on the motor for one and a whole bunch of compatibility issues from battery, to controls all the way down to wire connectors. The industry can't even agree on the best rear hub size.

12/6/2024 9:33am I'm with you. I feel the power of ep801 is adequate, give me lighter and/or higher capacity batteries and longer lasting motors. Design them so I can work on them, hate that I'm tethered to a shop to service them, at least the simple stuff.
