1/29/2026 4:51pm Wondering what Transition changes for v3. Do they make the Spur a little more XC by dropping weight? It seems like if they go the other direction they’re encroaching on Smuggler territory.

1/29/2026 4:49pm VPP is 4 bar Lets be frank here one of the biggest reasons they (and Intense) bought VPP was because Specialized had the Horst patent.

1/29/2026 4:48pm Hopefully lighter, too! I really liked the Tallboy, but it weighed basically the same as my Hightower.

1/29/2026 4:48pm Hear me out, If you want a slightly shorter reach on the XL, and more stack, well sweetheart, just run 30mm of spacers under your stem and youre there.... Then you can get over your angst of high rise bars on a mountain bike

1/29/2026 4:46pm It’s BS that eewings are so expensive and yet don’t come with a lifetime warranty IMO. If they’re billing them as a “buy it for life” crankset then they should back that up with a warranty. I have heard of at least one person bending them.

1/26/2026 12:31pm There is patent that references two (or more) positive chambers, and the use of protruding attachments on the lower to reduce spikes in pressure. Not sure I fully understand it, but maybe worth read. https://ppubs.uspto.gov/api/pdf/downloadPdf/20260021867?requestToken=ey…

1/25/2026 8:15pm my best guess that it is a tunable cartridge of the air spring, giving the airspring negative (?) more volume, like on their shocks. You can buy "LinearXL" air cans for the super deluxe, so I assume this is the same idea. These forks should feature "air preload", whatever that is. Screenshot from new mondraker DH bike listing: Edit: This tech has been seen featured on the next gen Zeb as well.

1/25/2026 8:06pm Best guesses on what that Linear XL does? In all the shots I've seen it looks a lot like a brake reservoir. Could just be a simple diaphragm that expands in the same way as internal pressure increases on the spring leg side. Seems like the easiest way to do it while keeping the current lower leg design language, no moving parts or added complexity, simple to cast and assemble at scale, no change to air spring architecture, and no additional tuning or service required by the end user. Ticks all the boxes from that standpoint anyway.

1/25/2026 7:23am I really think he would profit a lot from some sort of "try before you buy" model. If you've got something that's way different from the norm, but with easily perceivable benefits, this can help you get more customers. No one likes blindly shelling out 400$ for a thing with dodgy aesthetics and uncertainty as to how it feels on the trail...
