any thoughts on the coil sprung shock? amazingly supple? did RMB get it right? i ask because if you watch any Rocky sponsored rider on the new Slayer, they are all riding air shocks! it's a real oddity to me and a bit, er, shocking, given the bike has no option for this. makes me wonder if coil is all that superior. you can still hit a climb switch on this i gather?

Good looking rig and nice numbers. But why the two bearings on the bottom shock mount? Unnecessary weight and parts for a "pivot" that as seen in the video doesn't rotate more than a couple degrees....I'm assuming there is no bushing in that eyelet anymore and just a solid piece of alloy hardware. Combined with the trunnion mount, there is no allowance for misalignment from frame flex, and the bushings in the shock itself will be taking all of that force and deflection leading to premature wear of the shock. The bike industry's hate for bushings in the proper spots...

Meh, max grip is so tacky the tires don’t last worth a damn. The difference between them and terra is negligible really. There’s a reason they don’t make many options in them.

wicked bike. i could see resetting fork to 150 for better climbing angles, but why bother with the rear shock? prolly spendy to do as well. what size frame? no problems running the extra length shock stroke?

these look amazing. no bullshit skater crap, proper technical footwear for outdoorsmen who ride bikes. who fucking skates, what are we teenage urban boys? winter shoes are tripe, proper winter socks such as Goretex or Bridgedales with draining shoes are going to be the bomb. thank dog 5.10 is getting its head out of its ass under the leadership of Adidas.

Fields of trees to navigate is kind of bonkers. Looks like a great place to wad it, HARD, or potentially get crafty and make up some time. These are the best downhill riders in the world and they should be able to pick a line through anything, right? Kind of exciting from a pure racing standpoint. Loic sneaker route at 6:15!
