3/21/2019 9:56am "We worked hard over the last three years to combine the features of our competitors, like wider rim widths and better engagement, with the impossible-to-source replacement parts and terrible reliability you've come to know and love from Mavic."

3/16/2019 10:55pm absolutely agree. Very bouncy tires will benefit more (Maxxs exo, Sch snakeskin, Continental Der K/Der
.. but when you change from one of these to DD/DH or Sch SG there is a world or improvement in damping/traction from the tire alone... Not saying that cushcore wouldn't be better, dont know, curious, havent tried it yet..

3/16/2019 10:54pm Interesting. My only small grumble is that a tyre does have its own damping - from the rubber. Rubber dampens both the carcass and through the tread itself. Different compounds and treads make easily noticeable differences in tyre dampening

2/19/2019 2:18pm this seems to be Kona's way of thinking. they are very long in the front center but prefer to stick with 66 HTA's .

2/14/2019 8:29pm Hill is 5'10ish on a 430mm. rude 5'11 when he was totally rude a year ago on a 424mm. how hard is it to go fast in a straight line? Forward geo is rad for that. Turns turn me on. people on a bike way too big all streched out going into a turn where they can't move themselves or the bike around is too much tuna. Oh and pvd is a jackass

The last time we spent some miles aboard the Devinci Troy was back in 2016 during Vital MTB Test Sessions. At the time, we were impressed with the (then 27.5) bike’s ability to be pushed hard. A lot has changed since our last ride. With new standards, shock mounts, suspension improvements, wheel options, and geometry tweaks to look forward to, we were excited to spend a few months aboard the latest Devinci Troy to see if all the updates would retain the qualities we liked and refine those we weren’t so thrilled with. With three months of ride time under...

yeah it's probably pretty good. i was being a bit sarcastic, parroting some of the tall guy comments i've read. it used to be head angle got the first complaint on every new bike review, now it's often STA if it's not steeper than the steepest bikes out there. i would like to try 76 or steeper just out of curiosity as some make such a big deal of it.

1/16/2019 10:13pm I’m a bit surprised the X-Fusion Manic wasn’t included in this comparison. It’s a top performer at a bargain price, with best-in-class reliability. It even has a couple of user reviews on this site (one of which was written by me). Also, what’s the discontinued, problem-plagued Race Face Turbine post doing here?!

1/11/2019 7:58am While I understand the engineering behind it I struggle with it. It strikes me as a solution to an invented problem. If linkage driven suspension really is worlds better why aren’t linkage forks being run on works motocross bikes or moto-trials bikes etc. I know everyone hates the motor sports references when it comes to anything bike related but there has to be a reason these teams with their giant R&D budgets and cost is no object mentality (not to mention access to some of the worlds foremost engineers, no disrespect to Mr. Weagle) haven’t adopted this technology. There were...

12/19/2018 9:59pm
Last fall we flogged Kona’s updated Process G2 and had a blast doing it. The update improved every single trait of the bike, but many folks were left wondering, “Where’s the wagon wheeler?” Kona hinted at the fact that a 29-inch Process 153 was in the works. Shortly after the release of the Process G2, aluminum versions of the Process 153 29 started to surface. On paper, the 29-inch version of the Process shares just about every trait with its smaller sibling, and we were excited to see if the Process 153 CR/DL 29 retained the qualities we liked about...
