The most fun genre of mountain bike on the planet as of November 22, 2019. Requirements: 29-inch wheels, 120.97 - 134.33mm rear travel, 140.2mm max front travel, 34-36mm diameter fork tubes, slacker than 66-degree head angle, longish reach, aggressive 2.3 - 2.5-inch tires, 200mm front rotor, 50mm stem or less, 44mm fork rake or less, low standover, short seat tube with maximum insertion depth, lock-on grips (no foam allowed), hidden inspirational slogan in graphics.

the fluid is pretty darn dialed. they sent me a large frame to build up and jimmy at RockShox sent me a superdeluxe and pike at 140mm for it in the spring. i think they're really similar to what comes on the optic now. deity stuff, sram eagle GX, code brakes (front rotor bigger now than what is in pic), SC reserve wheels w/ dhr II/aggressor - thing is a freaking hoot! i actually rode it at whistler this summer w/ full DH 2.5 assegai tires F/R. i was pretty shocked at how much fun it was there (blue and black trails) with only 120/140mm. the tires made all the difference in that environment, but the bike managed the whole time. (spoiler, in 69er mode w/ 27.5 rear tire...not that cool...bb too low, HA too slack)
