I'm specifically talking about twisting, i.e if the mount is partially twisted (off axis), the derailleur can't adjust to that (to my knowledge). The view that we will make it so strong it won't deform and twist, is inferior in my opinion to a design where you can simply twist it back into alignment.

A friend at the shop I used to work at says they're getting Transmission problems all the time (mostly imprecise setup and some have had the mount start 'chewing' into the frame, but no broken stays as far as I know). Seems like it's generally better suited to a high standard of frame quality and very careful setup, two things not typically associated with most mountain bikes and their riders

Respect to the Hills, wish them nothing but the best! Even if Sam was to decide to step away from racing for good…. he has nothing to prove, he’s done all that already, put his stamp of DH/Enduro racing and inspired a lot of people along the way. Given the current state of the mountain bike scene and racing I can’t blame them for taken this time out, given the kids a life that will help massively in the future if they want to pursue the Moto racing full time.

Seems like Sam Hill might be taking a break from racing/retiring. Sad if its true.

new Michelin tyre coming out in the new year - “Wild Enduro MS” Following suit of lots of other successful tyres on the market with the 3,2,2 centre knobs and consistent side knobs looks like a mix of DH22, Assegai and Magic Mary 👌🏼 hopefully they do them in the normal wild enduro casings and not just the racing line ones which are like 1.5kg each 😂

Fair counterpoint. The package deal may bring in a more diverse audience whoch leads to better WB numbers which boosts athlete sponsorship capabilities. I like your optimistic perspective, although with the raising of registration and team fees, venue costs, closure of GCN, and format changes, and no changes to the purse, an optimistic perspective is hard for me to have. The constellation of changes that have unfolded make me skeptical that WB has the sports best interest at heart. I hope that they have a vision we don’t have this pans out in the long run. Keeping my hopes high...
