10/19/2025 11:31am Or, Norco. Team being managed by a legend that was the king of tinkering with frame adjustments until the day he retired. A team that has a F1 engineer. From and outsider perspective. I could see Norco being a good fit, logistically. - Team that supports outside of the box thinking for bike set up, and the money to do so. - Team that has $$ backing to support riders traveling abroad for long stints. -When Greg started managing Norco, he brought Cathy back in to help manage all the logistics and take care of the riders. Now, lets toss...

10/19/2025 3:35am I encourage you to have an opinion, I just think if you’re going to scrutinise the guy publicly you should atleast be accurate in your reasoning. I hope where ever he ends up it’s somewhere good, he is always the top of my list of guys I want to see win the race, intense would be a good outcome -...

10/19/2025 1:55am First things first, It wasnt on a pit bike. Secondly you can get hurt doing anything in life.. that’s life. And thirdly if you’d listened to any of his pod casts last year you would have heard him speak about the meltdowns himself and discuss how he has grown as a person and doesn’t do this anymore. Before you criticise...

10/17/2025 2:35am Holy hell, what a season! So stoked for Jackson to deliver under immense pressure and for Marine to quietly continue kicking ass. Amazing to see Dak at the very pointy end of things and Americans taking 3 of the top 5 spots at MSA!!! It's been the best season for Maxxis that I can remember during my decade and a half with the brand. We had 13 Elite wins out of a possible 20 available and 4 World Champs medals including a podium sweep of the Elite Men's category. Start adding in Junior results and those from enduro and it...

10/7/2025 9:13pm Ok but, forum replies get off topic easily and fill up peoples inbox. This thread is about 2026 team rumors, not YT’s failings, there are plenty of other places for that. And really, you are upset your niche forum replies are not saved for posterity? No one will care in a year. Perfect example of getting off topic, look at us right now…. All this arguing about to be nuked by @sspomer and that would be fine.

10/7/2025 11:32am Some notes and numbers from Vali Höll’s quietly remarkable World Cup year. With one race left in the season, Vali has already clinched another overall championship despite winning “only” one World Cup race. She, Nina Hoffmann, and Loic Bruni are the only racers to successfully qualify in Q1 for every race this season. Qualifying: 2.4 - average qualifying position 7 - lowest qualifying position 5 - number of times fastest qualifier Finals: 8 - podiums 5 - lowest finish 1 - wins 2.6 - avg. finish Points 233.8 - average points per race (no other rider - male or female...

10/3/2025 1:09pm Head angle is my aim, clearance is the method of obtaining it.

10/3/2025 4:36am Maybe that’s it, I’ll measure the distance from dust seal to lower crown and see if it’s close to 200mm or exceeds it by 15ish mm, that should clarify that.

10/3/2025 3:44am There’s no issue with tyre clearance and the lower crown. I’m unsure exactly what you mean regarding butted, but I’m not sure if the tube internal diameter changes at any point, clamping torque is only 7nm so I wouldn’t expect it to distort tube wall at that, but I could be wrong. This really is the information I’m looking for...

10/3/2025 3:04am There’s plenty of tire clearance to the down tube from memory, I’d definitely check again before changing anything, fork is a new SR Suntour Rux
ishouldridemore Started a new thread A query about Dual crown insertion limits.
10/3/2025 1:28am Wondering if anyone out there can help me out with some information regarding insertion limits for stanchions on dual crown forks. I’ve recently purchased a new dual crown fork and the axle to crown measurement is greater than my previous fork, to combat this I just assumed I would slide the stanchions through further to maintain the same head angle...

9/27/2025 1:17pm How dare you talk about vitals prodigal son like that! personally I think you’re a bit off in your take here, or maybe im off in my take, but I think frame works is the embodiment of home made hard work pays off.. and that’s Dak.

9/27/2025 1:11pm I feel you, but some hardtails are legitimately comfortable (when reframed as gravel bikes…) speci Fuse is stiff and sucks, epic hardtail is compliant and feels so good to ride. im telling you guys, the majority of the gravel segment has never tried a mtb (thinks they don’t need one, overbiked, etc.) or doesn’t even need a “gravel bike” (just needs a road bike with 38s and lower gearing.) the gravel category exists because people think road bikes can’t have 45c tires and also that mountain bikes are silly and unnecessary for singletrack. What we see in practice though is...

9/21/2025 8:58pm I mean, I'll go on record and say I much prefer wireless shifting and have been extremely happy with my Gx Transmission drivetrains. That being said, I really don't give a flying monkey's banana on what people run, and I really wish people would stop being so damn angry that wireless shifting exists. I think people miss just how easy it is to swap wireless drivetrains around when you do have issues. When my Gx T-type did die, it was a quick 5 min job to swap to another one off another one of my bikes and keep going, and...
