I mean, it's not that confusing... 😆 2014: Easton-Bell Sports sold its baseball and softball division to Bauer Performance Sports ($330,000,000) 2014: Race Face buys Easton Cycling ($?), Fox buys Race Face and Easton Cycling ($30,000,000) 2016: Easton-Bell Sports sells Bell and Giro (and Blackburn) to Vista Outdoor ($400,000,000) 2020: Rawlings acquired Easton Diamond Sports from Peak Achievement Athletics (formerly Bauer Performance Sports) ($?) 2022: Vista Outdoor buys Fox (the other Fox) ($540,000,000) 2023: Fox (this Fox) buys Marucchi (whose logo looks like Manitou and name sounds like Marzucchi, which is how people frequently mispronounce Marzocchi –– which they also...

I have been running a 32" front wheel on my epic all year. Started out with my normal 35mm stem and riser bars and I had a hard time keeping the front end under control. Tried out a drop stem and it brought my weight back forward and the front end was much better. Bike is very fun still and very fast. I personally think it still handles very well even in the tight stuff. Despite the wild looking stem it's comfortable and feels normal. The bigger wheel just raised the front end so much that the bars are in...

I also read 52 books last year! Well, I didn't exactly read each book all the way through. But I read the title on the spine, and if it sounded promising, I looked at the pictures on the cover and read the rest of the book jacket.

My 2017 Kona Operator came with SRAM Guide R brakes. Codes were amazing in comparison to those.

I've got some 686 Everywhere pants that are my go to for trail work, camping or riding. They are not as cheap as some non-bike specific alternatives (~110 usd iirc) but they are honestly pretty amazing for all rounders. Great for trips where I am going to be riding and prioritize clothing that can be dual use, without looking like a bike dork when I don't want to.

Cheers for all the insight, everyone! I've been chasing down a Levo SL frame all week that if I can rip it from FedEx's damn hands, I'm going to swap all the parts from my alloy Stumpy 15 over. I was doing some simple math, and the time it's going to take to overhaul my Stumpy for this trip is probably more than just building the Levo SL. AND the Levo SL without the battery will weigh maybe a pound more than my Stumpy lol. I'm not even that fussed about finding a battery when I'm there. If anyone has...

When Jack's post said that after 14 years, he wanted time to do things he wants to do.. Even if there was an offer on the table with someone, that doesn't mean he has to take it. There comes a point where one's mental health becomes the priority. He even mentioned that he had previously considered retirement.. Not everyone wants to race to the point that they are lucky to qualify.. Burnout is a real thing, even amongst some of the best in the biz...

Thanks to those who've taken time to write kind words about Downtime. I was expecting to get some hate for this episode as there is definitely a lot of frustration out there on this topic and Markus appears to be a very polarising character. For what it's worth, I put in the time to understand the concerns of the MTB world as much as was possible from forums etc and I believe that all those key points were covered in this interview. I also took time to understand the mechanisms of Private Equity and just why growth is essential and...

I 100% agree with this. I never had any issues with bleeding countless SRAM Code RSC's (dot), and really liked them for how easy and consistent the bleed process was to make them feel great. I now have Mavens and can't seem to get the rear feeling good no matter what I try. I've tried countless bleeds, new hoses, new...

Although I'm a sucker for all the latest rumors and innovation on the tech-front (which in between chainstay length discussion sometimes occur in this thread), as a company it just sucks whenever people decide to leak stuff willingly. There's people doing their best to create marketing & launch campaigns around new products, and most of the time go to great lengths to make sure it doesn't get public before. (Yes if you as a brand decide to go to Crankworx with an unreleased product it's up to you...) Usually there's a slew of NDA's signed, and more often than not...
