8/7/2023 8:23am On Downtime, Olly Morris basically said the same thing you just said. Everyone gets caught up in line choice and such in the woods... but the race is won or lost by how fast a rider gets to the woods (sector 2).

7/31/2023 8:22am We saw this yesterday. So damned awful. He was leaving for Scotland in just a few days. So crazy and heartbreaking. As the father of a teen rider, I can't imagine what his family is going through, and his teammates and coaches as well.

I can fully confirm the Junior X send/sketch strategy! That pole I marshalled at was just fine and dandy until that pimple faced train of anarchy came through. They all tested the limits of traction & huckability. Really regret not setting my GoPro up there. Side saddle down the f-ing rocks off into the woods. Launching to nose vert landers and riding it out. One HIT the tree at the base of the drop, grenaded, women screamed in horror & he just reassembled like a Transformer and ran his bike up the bank. Spectator's race summary from Val di Sole: Good - Insane race, and the venue was electric from Brosnan's run till the afterparty died sometime around 4am. - Course-taping was great to keep the track safer and more interesting. VDS is an A+ venue to watch lines most of us can only dream about (ex tripling into a steep braking zone), so many interesting sections to check out and see how the riders could make the most awkward looking section fast as F$#%. Can't believe some of the hits that people's wheels survived. 10/10 recommend going if you're within 6hrs drive...

6/2/2023 6:48am Jackson had appendix issues when he was racing down under (talked about it on the Feeding Off Each Other podcast, I believe)... like he lacerated his appendix or something. It evidently could have been really bad, but they repaired it. I was wondering why he didn't just get it removed then instead of keeping it. I guess it's come back...
