I will start a totally baseless rumor that the whole 50to01 crew is going to switch to Cotic in an effort To support a UK brand.
That's from a company that sells water filters in the area. It got me interested, so I started googling water quality in NWA. While it isn't the highest quality, it's not ranked anywhere close to the worst within the United States. It appears to be middle of the road to slightly above average on the whole from what I could...
I'll be curious what this will actually look like on the ground. I don't think Christopher Blevins, Riley Amos, et. al, are going to suddenly start training here on the regular vs. Tucson and Durango. That being said, as a resident of the area, I'm pretty selfishly hyped for it even though my kid's preferred disciplines are all gravity-focused.

Yeah, I was curious as well. The way Emi brought it up, made it seem like it's no big secret that there were issues with the team and that people were pretty aware that these riders would be moving on as a result. They also kind of insinuated that the Madison Saracen bike sucks in saying "look what Matt Walker...

That podcast is really good, especially with the rumors. They certainly don't mind speculating in a way that a lot of the other podcasts seem to shy away from.

Yeah, Ive been listening to that podcast a bit more recently. I guess these are just actual confirmation of what was ultimately rumours beforehand?

These Madison Saracen moves were predicted a while back on the Making Up the Numbers podcast. They basically said there's been a lot of team drama/politics (not sure if it's actually the riders or if it's more of a corporate deal). They predicted that Madison Saracen might just run with Matt Walker this year as a "getting it right and...
I mean... I think that the route for US up and comers goes through Durango Devo and Bear National, unfortunately. Riley, Caden, Bjorn, ... they're all coming through that program. But yeah, it requires an insane amount of privilege and a dedicated family willing to make some serious sacrifices to make that happen.
I think it depends on what you mean by being a social media influencer. All of the racers, freeriders, park riders, etc.. are now ALSO social media influencers. Someone like Brage, Olly Wilkins, 50:01, the Shire crew, etc... I mean, they're all riders first, but their social media and film parts are what they're getting paid for... not doing events...
They're the title sponsor of the BME and had their North American race team competing in all the races last year. Not trying to defend them, but just offering a data point. Pretty sure they were also the title sponsor for the Team Trail Party Gravity Stage Race series in 2022 as well.

Cody is on the Specialized Enduro Team, so it shouldn't affect him. Someone like Jacob Lingemann might be affected, but I doubt it as he's a pretty valuable "property" right now.

hahaha, fair play for being honest...I agree with ya, @hogfly list of names was pretty great, lots of good talent in there. I will add Brooke Anderson, young lady from PNW. I worked with her since she was a little grom, and her skills are incredible, she kind of chilled on racing and focused on just riding, freeriding, but, she's got the race bug again-super nice kid that SHREDS https://www.instagram.com/brookebikes/

Nice add of Brooke. Sick rider. In interest of adding girls into the mix, I'll also throw in Landrie McLain. She's focused mainly on riding XC, but she has serious enduro crossover potential (podiumed at Nats this year). Trains like a beast and her tech skills just keep getting better. At like 15 years old, she's slaughtered all the pro...

I don't think any of these are the next Sam Hill, but some solid groms out there. A lot of these aren't racers, though. I'm not going to link all their individual accounts...

God I hope this isn't a microcosm of what could happen with Discovery takeover of WC racing.

It's pretty obvious if you follow him on Instagram, but Asa Vermette is likely going to be racing for Frameworks this season. He's too young to do World Cup yet, but is supposedly going to do some IXS, Crankworks, and various North American races. Asa was pretty open about it at the Angelfire Team Trail Party race, but now it's...

If someone brought in a prefabricated wooden quarter pipe or kicker or something, it wouldn't be allowed. I think that's sort of the issue with it. I don't mind, personally, but I think it's technically against the rules, even if it's not against the spirit of Rampage.
