Intense Downhill Series on the East Coast, which will all be like 12+ hours from you, most likely. Arkansas is all enduro, unfortunately without any DH.
Americans are funny, you can have the Nascar Freedom Jesus 500 sponsored by NRA , big pharma and like Busch light and people will say that this is acceptable and more than ok for kids/role models, while "porn" or weed (remember when JD Swanguen got a ban from racing due to having weed in his system?) are still seen as big bad evil and will corrupt the mind of your young teens.

I understand your point and i'm not really defending either side but I could argue that Neko's helmet sponsor could be much more destructive than Lew's OF sponsorship. OF is a paywall site, no kid who decides to look up OF is going to see a ponanny getting stuffed with a cucumber unless they steal their parents credit card, but they can steal a can of their parents Dales out of the refrigerator. As you already noted, alcohol is a physical addiction and is much harder to stop than something like porn addiction, so shouldn't we have much strickter regulation...

OnlyFans have been trying to change for a while and even announced a ban on adult content at one point. The backlash was so quick and loud that they had to reverse the decision. Their quest is not altruistic though, they want an IPO and the only way they will get it is by breaking the association with adult content. Back to the subject of LB specifically, the UCI is headed by a bunch of rich white guys (I am one as well) who are embarrassed/upset by women taking control of their sexuality(I am not one of those). The historical...

That's possible, but while Instagram isn't transparent about the way their algorithm works, there definitely seems to be more to it than "people like this, so we push it further." Or maybe all the SEO folks pushing how to "hack" the algorithm are just blowing smoke. Here's an article: https://sproutsocial.com/insights/instagram-algorithm/

Haha. Agreed. But when you have a random reel that within a few minutes of posting gets like 5k views and another within minutes has only 50 views, it's obvious that one post got thrown into a lot more people's feeds than the other by the algorithm, not because actual human viewers were interested/disinterested by the content of the reel.

Loved it! Really great interview. I am a little baffled by his dismissal of the fickleness of the algorithm. Anyone who works in SEO and with social media knows that Instagram is constantly tweaking their algorithm and it’s way more complex than just “make better posts and they’ll get exposure.”

Man, I hope not. Hope it also doesn't indicate being in a bad spot and having to sell a bike. Hopefully he's just got a new ride and is about to start shredding. Guy is like the DB Cooper of mountain biking.

On the Ride Companion, Olly Wilkins (one of Bren's best mates and helped build the Guanajato Urban DH course). He also mentioned that Anthill films were down there filming in the area.

Windrock is unreal. We were there for the Enduro. On Thursday, I saw Gwin, Pinkerton, Luca Shaw, Dak, Frida, and Grice in the shuttle line. That area is really becoming the epicenter of the DH scene.. and for good reason.

hogfly Added a reply to WTF is up with USAC?

In all honesty, I'll be curious to see what the numbers look like for Gravity Nationals. In Winter Park, at least, it felt like the XC crowd made up the large majority of the participants and spectators, dwarfing the gravity crowd. Even when the DS was packed with spectators, it was a lot of XC folks coming to view.
USAC Gravity National Champs - Ride Rock Creek, NC - July 12-16 (also at same venue in 2024) www.riderockcreek.com 2023 NDHS (National Downhill Series) - Tennessee National, March 25-26, Windrock - www.tnnational.com - Mountain Creek Spring National, May 25-28, Vernon, N.J. - www.mountaincreek.com - Fox US Open of Mountain Biking, September 21-24 - Killington, Vt. - www.usopen.bike USAC has finally announced the Gravity National Champs location and date. It's at Ride Rock Creek in North Carolina July 12-16. XC and Gravity Nat'l Champs are no longer together at the same venue. USA Cycling has also made the National Downhill Series...
